About Biotechnology Incubation Centre

The Biotechnology Incubation Centre (BTIC), operated by the Society for Biotechnology Incubation Centre (SBTIC), is located in Genome Valley, Hyderabad. Established in 2009 by the Government of Telangana, Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, and CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), BTIC supports early-stage startups in the life sciences industry.

BTIC occupies 35,000 sq ft of innovation space with a mix of plug-and-play modular lab spaces and office spaces designed to nurture innovation and mentor entrepreneurs in life sciences. The centre also offers a cGMP biotechnology pilot plant, providing an ideal environment for early-stage manufacturing and process development.

The incubator is jointly operated by SBTIC, Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC), and Telangana Life Sciences, making it a key hub within Hyderabad's thriving biotech ecosystem.
