Institute of Wood Science and Technology, usually written IWST, is a research institute in Bengaluru working on wood science and wood technology. It works under the Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education, an autonomous body of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. Its own account says it was earlier a forest research laboratory and was later upgraded as the Institute of Wood Science and Technology under ICFRE.
