Pernod Ricard India Foundation (PRIF) is a Section 8 company and the wholly owned CSR arm of Pernod Ricard India. Its startup support runs through partner institutes, including IIT Kanpur, IIM Bangalore and IIM Calcutta, and its wider work covers water, healthcare and agriculture. The figures the foundation publishes about its own reach are self-reported, and we have not verified them.

How the startup programmes work

PRIF's startup support runs through partner institutes. Each programme below is run with a partner and supported by the foundation. The three programmes we could confirm are ADVAYA, the Prakriti Incubation Launchpad, and a circular-economy incubation programme at IIM Bangalore.

ADVAYA, the Plastic Circularity Innovation Launchpad, was launched with IIT Kanpur in November 2025 to support startups that use technology to tackle plastic waste management and recycling. Its inaugural cohort had five startups, and the launch notice describes incubation and grant support for selected startups. We have not found a later cohort.

The Prakriti Incubation Launchpad runs with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park for startups from North East India working on indigenous knowledge-based ventures. It is a 12-month incubation programme. Its first cohort was set to support 12 early-stage startups, with a final summit planned for March 2027. Reward grants go to the six best performers. NE Now reported in July 2026 that applications were open until 31 July, with incubation starting in August.

The circular-economy programme is run by NSRCEL, the incubator at IIM Bangalore. NSRCEL names PRIF as the lead programme partner for its Circular Economy Incubation Program, and Yunus Social Business also supports it. PRIF's own page describes the same partnership as its Social Incubator Program. NSRCEL announced a second cohort in June 2025 and later reported it completed. Its two notices are a day apart, so the exact timing is not clear from the sources. PRIF and NSRCEL have also continued support for startups in climate-smart agriculture.

Who can apply

Each programme sets its own audience. ADVAYA takes startups working on plastic waste management and recycling. Prakriti takes startups from North East India in the MVP, early-stage or early-revenue phase. The NSRCEL circular-economy programme takes startups building sustainable business models within the circular economy.

Applying depends on the programme. The Prakriti call is run by IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. We have not found an application route for ADVAYA or for the NSRCEL programme.

Scale, as the foundation reports it

These figures come from PRIF's PRAVAH page and are self-reported. The page says quality medical support has reached over 1 million people. It also says the foundation has constructed 2,355 water storage structures with a capacity of 4,484 million litres, and that over 11,000 truck drivers now receive regular health check-ups and road safety training. It engages eight Farmer Producer Organisations.

Who runs it

PRIF is a Section 8 company under the Companies Act, 2013. Its CSR initiatives are implemented in line with Section 135 of that Act and Schedule VII, and they are carried out within India. It is the CSR arm of Pernod Ricard India.
