Programmes they run
Standing programmes at Sanskriti University, separate from the funding calls above.
One standing route, open year-round with no published deadline. The eligibility line is the thing to read first: the policy admits students, including students from other UGC-recognised institutions, rather than founders generally.
A rolling two-year incubation place for student founders, from Sanskriti University or any UGC-recognised institution, with campus space, labs, a required faculty mentor and possible seed support.
Best for: Student and ex-student founders, whether from Sanskriti University or another UGC-recognised institution, ideally working on agriculture or biotechnology
- Idea – Early revenue
- Two years, extendable by up to two further six-month periods at the university's discretion
- In person
With MSME-PPDC, Agra
What you get, who can apply and how to applyHide details
The university's one standing incubation route, run by the Sanskriti University Entrepreneurship & Incubation Centre. There are no dated cohorts: a proposal form stays open year-round and applications are assessed as they arrive.
What you get
- Working space with computers, a printer, phone and internet, plus guest house use on a payment basis
- A library with IT, business, management and trade journals, a meeting and conference room with projection equipment, and tele and video conferencing
- Access to university laboratories on the university's own terms, including its Centres of Excellence in Industrial Automation and Robotics, CNC Machines and Ecological Farming
- A required Sanskriti University faculty mentor for technology, and an optional industry mentor within six months
- Monthly strategy reviews with the evaluation committee
- Intellectual property management, patenting and documentation support through the university's IPR Cell
- Interns from the university's own student body
- Possible seed support, described in the policy as a loan rather than a grant, applied for no earlier than three months after admission and subject to funds being available
Who can apply
- Current and former students of Sanskriti University
- Students enrolled at any UGC-recognised university or institution anywhere in India
- The policy's gate is student status, not campus affiliation, so a founder who is not enrolled anywhere is not covered by it — the intake form's categories are wider, so ask rather than assume
- An incorporated company is expected: the admission step asks for a certificate of incorporation and a memorandum and articles of association
How selection works: you submit an executive summary or business plan with the company papers. An internal review committee assesses technical and business feasibility. If that goes well you present to an evaluation committee of university representatives plus technical, financial and other experts, and answer questions; video conferencing is allowed. The centre runs its own due diligence on the company, team, industry and competition, and may ask for a revised summary or presentation. Published criteria cover technology content and innovation, timeliness, market potential, the core team, intellectual property, financial and commercial viability with two-year projections, funding need and raisability, time to market, break-even period, demand in India, and scalability. The centre states it will not sign a non-disclosure agreement.
How to apply: fill the Innovative Ideas Proposal Form linked as "Register Yourself" from the Incubation Centre page. General enquiries go to info@sanskriti.edu.in; the contact the Department of Science and Technology publishes for this incubator is vicechancellor@sanskriti.edu.in.

One national designation, checked against the issuing department's own register rather than the university's description of itself. The register records the designation but no date and no status, so whether the i-TBI support is currently running cannot be told from it — ask the university.
DST NIDHI inclusive Technology Business Incubator (i-TBI)
Sanskriti University appears at serial number 46 of the Department of Science and Technology's own List of DST NIDHI inclusive Technology Business Incubators, published on the NIDHI website, with agriculture and biotechnology recorded as its technology thrust areas. The register names the university as the host institute and names no separate incubator company. It carries no sanction date and no status column, so it shows that the designation exists but not when it was granted or whether the support is still running.
How to apply to Sanskriti University
Check whether you clear the eligibility gate first
The published incubation policy admits current and former Sanskriti University students and external students enrolled at any UGC-recognised university or institution. If you are enrolled somewhere, you are in scope and your outside status is not a problem. If you are not a student anywhere, the policy sentence does not cover you, even though the proposal form offers categories that suggest otherwise. Write and ask before you build an application around it.
Line your idea up with what the incubator is recorded as backing
The technology thrust areas recorded against this i-TBI are agriculture and biotechnology. The university's own pages do not state thrust areas in readable form, so that register entry is the clearest signal available. An agritech or bio-based idea has an obvious home here. Something far outside those areas needs a reason.
Have the company papers ready, not just the idea
The form asks for a problem statement, a solution statement, your unique selling proposition, any existing competitor and the status of commercialisation. The admission step behind it asks for a business plan, a certificate of incorporation, and a memorandum and articles of association. Being incorporated before you apply removes the most likely reason for a stall.
Write the plan against the criteria the committee actually uses
The evaluation criteria are published: technology content and innovation in the idea, timeliness, market potential, the profile of the core team, intellectual property generated and the potential to create more, financial and commercial viability with two-year projections of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, how much money you need and whether you can raise it, time to market, break-even period, demand in India, and scalability. Cover each one explicitly. A plan that answers the list in order is easier to score than a deck that buries the answers.
Expect a presentation, and use the remote option if you need it
After the internal feasibility review you present to an evaluation committee of university representatives plus technical, financial and other experts, and take questions. Video conferencing is permitted, so applying from another state does not mean travelling for the first meeting.
Do not count on confidentiality before you are in
The policy says the centre keeps applications confidential but will not sign a non-disclosure agreement. Plan what you disclose accordingly.
Know the shape of the commitment
Incubation runs two years, with up to two six-month extensions at the university's discretion. Every incubated company has to take a Sanskriti University faculty member as a technology mentor, and the evaluation committee expects a monthly strategy review. An industry mentor can be added within the first six months.
Understand the money and the costs before you sign
Seed support from the centre is described as a loan, not a grant, and it can only be applied for three months after admission and only if funds are available. Where the centre brings in outside accounting, IP, legal or management professionals for you, the policy says the cost is charged to you. Ask which services are included and which are billed.
How to apply
Use the Innovative Ideas Proposal Form linked as "Register Yourself" from the Incubation Centre page in the Research and Innovation section of the university's site. There is no published deadline and no dated intake window, so the form is the year-round way in. The only contact the Department of Science and Technology publishes for this incubator is the Vice Chancellor's office inbox, vicechancellor@sanskriti.edu.in; the university's own general enquiry address is info@sanskriti.edu.in.
About Sanskriti University
Sanskriti University is a private university on the Mathura-Delhi highway at Chhata, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It runs its own in-house incubator, the Sanskriti University Entrepreneurship & Incubation Centre, which the site also presents as the Sanskriti Incubation Centre. The Department of Science and Technology lists the university in its register of NIDHI inclusive Technology Business Incubators, the i-TBI programme, with agriculture and biotechnology as its recorded technology thrust areas.
That register entry is worth reading carefully, because it is the one national credential this page rests on. The i-TBI list names the university as the host institute and names no separate incubator company, so the incubator here is a department of the university rather than a society or a section 8 company with its own board. The list also carries no sanction date and no status column, so it shows that the designation was granted but not when, and not whether the support is still running. The university refers to the designation once on its own pages, on the IIIE Cell page, where it says startups received grants under the DST-ITBi project in the presence of DST representatives and officials from BIRAC and DPIIT.
Who can apply
This is the question to settle before you spend time on an application. The university's published incubation policy says that any current student or ex-student of Sanskriti University, or an external student enrolled at any UGC-recognised university or institution, may apply for incubation support. So there is a real route in for people with no connection to Mathura, which is more than most campus incubators offer. But the gate the policy sets is student status, not campus affiliation: a founder who is not enrolled anywhere is not covered by that sentence.
The intake form itself is wider than the policy. It asks applicants to tick a category from government or public institutions, private institutions, or individuals, and the individual options run from school student through college or university student to research institution and an open "any others". If you are not a student and the idea is a good fit for agriculture or biotechnology, the sensible move is to ask before assuming you are out. Treat the policy sentence as the rule and the form as the reason to check.
How the programme works
There is one standing route rather than dated cohorts. You start with the Innovative Ideas Proposal Form in the Research and Innovation section of the site, which asks for the innovator's details, the domain, a problem statement, a solution statement, the unique selling proposition, any existing competitor, the status of commercialisation, and whether you need help with incubation or technology transfer.
The admission procedure that follows is more demanding than the form suggests. The policy asks a prospective startup to submit an incubation application containing a business plan, a certificate of incorporation, and a memorandum and articles of association. So an incorporated company is expected at this step, not merely an idea. The centre puts the executive summary to an internal review committee for a view on technical and business feasibility. If that is positive, the founders are invited to present the critical parts of the plan to an evaluation committee made up of university representatives plus technical, financial and other experts, followed by questions and a final decision. Presenting by video conference is allowed, which matters if you are applying from outside Uttar Pradesh. Throughout, the centre does its own research and due diligence on the company, the team, the industry and the competition, and may ask you to revise the summary or the presentation. The policy also states plainly that the centre will not sign a non-disclosure agreement.
The criteria the evaluation committee uses are listed: the strength of the product idea in terms of technology content, innovation, timeliness and market potential; the profile of the core team; intellectual property already generated and the potential to create more; financial and commercial viability with two-year projections of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow; how much money is needed and whether it can realistically be raised; time to market; break-even period; commercial potential and demand in India; and scalability.
Incubation runs for two years. The university may grant a maximum of two extensions of six months each, at its sole discretion. A company also leaves if the centre judges the business underperforming or non-viable, if there is an irresolvable dispute between promoters, if a university policy is broken, or if the company is acquired, merged or reorganised in a way that substantially changes its profile.
Mentorship is not optional. Every incubated company has to pick one Sanskriti University faculty member as its mentor on technology, so that the university's technical expertise and lab infrastructure are actually used. The centre also keeps a database of industry mentors, and a company may choose one within six months of joining. The evaluation committee meets startup chief executives at least once a month for strategy reviews and to discuss operational issues.
What you get
Accepted companies may be offered working space with computers, a printer, phone and an internet connection, and guest house use on a payment basis. Shared infrastructure includes a library with subscriptions to IT, business, management and trade journals, a meeting and conference room with projection equipment, tele and video conferencing, and laboratories on the university's own terms.
The centre lists a broad set of support services: help with business basics, accounting and financial management, presentation skills and business etiquette, comprehensive business training, help writing a workable business plan, market research, networking, high-speed internet, introductions towards bank loans, angel investors and venture capital, management team identification, intellectual property management, and support with documentation and patenting. Two conditions come with that list. Where the centre brings in outside professionals for accounting, IP, legal or management work, its policy says the cost is charged to the incubatee. And seed support is described as a loan rather than a grant, available on application no earlier than three months after admission and subject to funds being available. Intellectual property follows the university's own IPR policy, and incubatees may use its IPR Cell. Sanskriti University students can also be made available to incubatees as interns.
Partners and facilities on campus
The university says its incubator centre was established in association with MSME-PPDC Agra, and that three Centres of Excellence were set up with the same partner: Industrial Automation and Robotics, CNC Machines, and Ecological Farming. These are university facilities rather than the incubator's own, but they are the equipment an incubated company on this campus would reach for. The IIIE Cell, the university's combined innovation, incubation, intellectual property and entrepreneurship unit, also lists the Department of Science and Technology, EDII Ahmedabad, MSME PPDC Agra, NIESBUD, the National Skill Development Corporation, the National Entrepreneurship Network, Wadhwani Foundation, the Council of Science and Technology Uttar Pradesh and the Quality Council of India as organisations it is associated with. That is an association list, not a set of designations the university holds.
