Schaeffler India is the Indian arm of the global Schaeffler Group, which positions itself as the Motion Technology Company. It supplies high-precision components and systems in engine, transmission, and chassis applications, as well as rolling and plain bearing solutions for a large number of industrial applications. The business runs four divisions: E-Mobility, which offers solutions across the entire spectrum of electrification possibilities; Powertrain and Chassis; Vehicle Lifetime Solutions, covering replacement parts and repair; and Bearings and Industrial Solutions. Manufacturing runs from plants at Pune, Vadodara and Hosur, supported by five sales offices across the country. Alongside its commercial operations the company runs corporate social responsibility work spanning healthcare, skill development and cultural heritage, including the HOPE Engineering Scholarship Programme and a Social Innovation Fellowship through which it engages social innovators.
