Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM) is an engineering and management college in Bantakal, Udupi, Karnataka. It was established in 2010 by the Shri Sode Vadiraja Mutt Education Trust, and its own pages describe the aim as affordable, high-quality technical and management education that uplifts rural communities.

MiTiE (Madhwa Incubator for Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship) is promoted by the Sode Vadiraja Foundation, a Section 8 company, and is based on the SMVITM campus. It focuses on technology solutions for agriculture, healthcare, sustainability and rural industries. Its work runs in three stages. PRERANA covers awareness, problem identification and hackathons. SMVITM ran Ideathon 2026 for second and third year BE students and first year MBA students, with K-Tech Innovation Hub and MiTiE. Registration closed on 10th April 2026. MiTiE's own newsletter reports that KITS, a Government of Karnataka body, selected 10 SMVITM student teams for innovation and startup support.
