About TiE Nagpur
TiE Nagpur is the Nagpur chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global non-profit network that was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley. The chapter works from an office at Mokha Tower, Trimurti Nagar, and describes its job as connecting entrepreneurs with mentors, investors and a wider network. It lists mentorship, networking, education, funding and incubation as what it offers to startups, entrepreneurs and aspiring business leaders in the Nagpur region.
TiE Nagpur is mainly a membership and community body. It is not a residential incubator with a published intake, and its site does not describe a cohort programme, a grant or a seed investment. What it gives you is access: events, mentoring and clinic sessions for members, and a network of founders, executives and professionals who sit on its board and governing council.
Membership
The site lists four kinds of membership. Student members get access to select events, networking with student entrepreneurs and entry to the TiE University programme. Associate members get full access to all TiE Nagpur events, global networking and the mentoring and clinic sessions. Affiliate membership is aimed at entrepreneurs and startups and adds premium event access and discounted global events. Charter membership is by invitation and is meant for established leaders who can mentor. Fees are shown on the site; check them there before you join.
TiE University programme
The one structured programme on the site is TiE University, a competition for university entrepreneurs that the site calls a flagship initiative of TiE. Teams pitch their business ideas, get mentorship from the TiE network and compete for prizes. It starts with Chapter Finals against local teams at TiE Nagpur. Winners from each chapter go on to Global Quarter-Finals, which are held virtually, and the top teams then pitch at the Global Finals.
The gate is clear. The competition is open to teams of college or university students, and your startup must have at least one student founder who is currently enrolled. It is designed for early-stage startups that have not raised more than a seed round. Registration is through the team registration link on the TiE University section of the site.
Events
In 2025 the chapter hosted the Food Entrepreneurs Summit with IIM Nagpur and GAME, held on September 12, 2025. The site reports 500+ participants and 30+ speakers and panelists, with sessions on cloud kitchens, fundraising and branding for food ventures, and health and wellness trends. The homepage has an upcoming events section, but no dates were listed when we checked.
Who it suits
A Nagpur founder who wants mentors, peers and introductions will get the most from TiE Nagpur, as will a student team that wants a route into a global competition. Look elsewhere for desk space, a funded cohort or a grant.
