Selection Process
The selection process for the STPI IGNITE Open Challenge Programme is rigorous and multi-faceted, overseen by a dedicated Project Management Group (PMG). This PMG acts as the primary selection authority, ensuring a fair and comprehensive evaluation of all applications. The process involves extensive screening at various stages. Initially, applications are reviewed for adherence to eligibility criteria, innovation potential, technological relevance to Industry 4.0, and overall viability. Expert panels, comprising technologists, business leaders, and STPI representatives, meticulously assess proposals. Shortlisted candidates may then be invited for presentations, interviews, or pitching sessions where they articulate their vision, demonstrate their prototypes (if applicable), and respond to queries from the selection committee. The final decision is based on a holistic assessment of the team's capabilities, the technological strength of the solution, its market potential, scalability, and alignment with the program's objectives. Preference may be given to startups that are either based in Uttarakhand or are willing to establish a registered office there to leverage regional startup policies.
