About IIITB Innovation Centre

IIITB Innovation Centre, established in 2009, is a startup hub for ICT4D research, innovation, and entrepreneurship housed within the IIIT Bangalore campus in Electronic City, Bengaluru. Recognized as a MeitY TIDE 2.0 G2 Centre and approved by the Government of Karnataka as an incubation facility, the centre has invested TIDE grants as pre-seed and seed funding in innovative startups across healthcare, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, and e-governance.

The centre runs multiple programs including the Orbit Program for deeptech startup incubation from proof-of-concept to market, and the IMACX Accelerator, a zero-fee, zero-equity, 100-day early-stage accelerator for startups building solutions using cutting-edge technologies. IIITB Innovation Centre has supported over 30 startups through IMACX and has nurtured ventures across domains including social innovation, digital payments, and data analytics. The centre also runs an RBI Innovation Hub pre-incubation program for fintech ventures.
