TIDE 2.0 Fund

Grant scheme

TIDE 2.0 scheme by MeitY aims to promote technology startups working in emerging technologies through financial and technical support.

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

Offers funding support upto ₹ 4 lakh for prototype stage startups (Entrepreneur-in-Residence) for 12 months, and funding support upto ₹ 7 lakh for Proof of Concept to Product for 12 months. Focus areas include Civic Tech & Education, Financial inclusion including digital payments, Healthcare or Agriculture. Uses emerging digital technology paradigms such as SaaS/PaaS/IoT, AI, Blockchain, Robotics.

A 12-18 months program designed to help startups reach the Pre-Seed Fund Stage, with an optional extension to 2 years max for reaching Seed stage.

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

The program involves stages: A) Purpose + Discover (Opportunity + Onboarding) for 3-6 Months, B) Pilot (MVP) + Create Solution for 3-6 Months, Refinement for 3 Months, Early Customers + Iterative Changes + Launch for 3-6 Months. Total A + B is 12-18 Months. Additionally, if the start-up shows promise, iterative changes + perfect Product Market Fit in 6-12 Months (Seed to be reached), total duration 2 Years Max. For profit-making companies, they should reach scale, while public-good companies should look at the level of acceptance by their audiences.

Includes expert-led sessions from Wadhwani Foundation’s Liftoff program. Thematic areas include Digital Payments & Infrastructure, Financial Inclusion, Lending Innovation & Credit Scoring, Cybersecurity & Fraud Management, Climate Tech-Driven Finance. Successful teams may transition into a 12-month incubation program with access to funding opportunities. No grant or fund provided in this pre-incubation program. Offers platform access to FSS BLAZE™ sandbox (2 licenses per startup, AWS-hosted environments), technical mentoring (80 hours/quarter), enablement kit (SDKs, Postman collections, Swagger, MVP blueprints), production readiness support, showcase & promotion opportunities, co-creation and roadmap influence.

Thematic areas include Preventive Healthcare, Women Health, Geriatric care, Food & Nutrition, Fitness & Sport, Palliative care. Founders can choose focus areas for startup skillsets. No grant or fund provided in this pre-incubation program. Successful teams have a pathway to a twelve-month incubation program with access to grants/funds from IIITB, Wadhwani Foundation and other investor partners.

About IIITB Innovation Centre

IIITB Innovation Centre, established in 2009, is a startup hub for ICT4D research, innovation, and entrepreneurship housed within the IIIT Bangalore campus in Electronic City, Bengaluru. Recognized as a MeitY TIDE 2.0 G2 Centre and approved by the Government of Karnataka as an incubation facility, the centre has invested TIDE grants as pre-seed and seed funding in innovative startups across healthcare, education, agriculture, financial inclusion, and e-governance.

The centre runs multiple programs including the Orbit Program for deeptech startup incubation from proof-of-concept to market, and the IMACX Accelerator, a zero-fee, zero-equity, 100-day early-stage accelerator for startups building solutions using cutting-edge technologies. IIITB Innovation Centre has supported over 30 startups through IMACX and has nurtured ventures across domains including social innovation, digital payments, and data analytics. The centre also runs an RBI Innovation Hub pre-incubation program for fintech ventures.
