About TiE Siliguri
TiE Siliguri is the North Bengal chapter of TiE, The Indus Entrepreneurs, a non-profit network of established founders who mentor newer ones. It launched on 30 July 2025 as a spoke chapter under TiE Kolkata and is based in Siliguri, West Bengal. It is a membership and mentoring body for local founders, not a funder, a workspace or a cohort accelerator, so most of what it offers is open to members.
Who it is for
The chapter says it exists to mentor and handhold first-generation founders who often lack structured support in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Membership comes in two categories. Associate Membership is open registration for aspiring entrepreneurs, startup founders and professionals. Charter Membership is by invitation and is meant for established entrepreneurs and prominent business leaders. Charter Members hold the voting rights and can take leadership roles, and they mentor the Associate Members.
What members get
The chapter's yearly cadence includes monthly deep-dive workshops and masterclasses, monthly coffee meets and monthly mentoring clinics. It also holds an all-members mixer and a Charter Members retreat each year, plus cross-chapter events. The site says members get at least one learning session every month. Recent and upcoming sessions have covered subjects such as entrepreneurial strategy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and most are marked open to members.
Funding is described as a pathway rather than a fund. The chapter points members to TiE Angels and the wider TiE investing network for angel capital and investor readiness. It does not state that it invests or gives grants itself. Charter Members can attend any TiE chapter's events worldwide for free, while Associate Members mainly use chapter-level events and get discounted entry to select global events.
Programmes
The chapter lists two flagship programmes, both restricted to members. The AI Immersion Residency is a two-day residential programme at Inspiria Knowledge Campus in Siliguri for founders who want to put AI to work in their business, with no technical background needed. The June 2026 edition has wrapped, and future editions open to Charter Members first. The Founders' Immersion is a two-day programme for founders and family business owners at Masters' Union School of Business in Gurugram, open to TiE Siliguri members only. Its page lists dates in September without a year, so check the chapter before planning around it. TiE Young Entrepreneurs, for school students, and TiE Women are both marked coming soon and are not running yet.
How to join
For Associate Membership, fill out the short application form on the membership page and it goes straight to the chapter team. For Charter Membership, send an enquiry with a little about yourself and the chapter team will guide you. Both categories pay a one-time admission fee and an annual fee, and the annual fee covers most chapter events. The chapter says it usually replies within a couple of working days.
Partners and network
Inspiria Knowledge Campus is the chapter's annual sponsor and hosts its programmes. Inspiria runs InHub, its own on-campus incubation and co-working space, which is separate from the chapter. TiE Kolkata, founded in 2002, mentors the chapter through its first two years as a spoke chapter. After that, TiE Siliguri can apply for full chapter status once it meets TiE Global's criteria. The chapter reports members across eight sectors, including healthcare, education, finance, manufacturing, technology and hospitality.
