Tharthilthlentu (TiLi)

Choosing where to start

• Incubator: for a Mizoram startup that wants desk space and incubation support. The site does not say how intake works, so write first and ask whether an intake is open.
• Chengrang leh Ngenmu: for entrepreneurs who want to pitch for investment on the show. No entry criteria are published, so ask TiLi what each season expects.
• Starting Up Bootcamp: for people thinking about starting up who want four days of onsite training.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset Curriculum: for school students, and it runs through schools under Samagra Shiksha, Mizoram, so a student does not apply on their own.

How to get in touch

• Email the role inbox at admin@tili.co.in or use the contact form on the TiLi website.
• TiLi's pages show two different phone numbers, so confirm by email before you travel to Mission Veng.
• Ask in the same message whether outside-Mizoram founders can join the incubator, whether it charges a fee, and whether it takes equity. None of these are stated on the site.

Before you rely on its national links

• TiLi says it is a Startup India SISFS incubation centre. If you are hoping for seed support through that route, ask TiLi which startups it has taken through it and on what terms.
• TiLi says it is a GENESIS Implementing Agency, but we could not confirm this on MeitY Startup Hub's own pages. Check with TiLi and with the scheme before planning around it.
• The home page and the programmes page disagree on how far the reality show has got. Ask which season is next.

Tharthilthlentu, known as TiLi, is a non-profit society based in Aizawl, Mizoram. Its full name is Tharthilthlentu — Entrepreneurship & MSME Support, and it is registered with the Registrar of Firms & Societies, Government of Mizoram. It calls itself Mizoram's first privately run incubator.

What TiLi does

TiLi works on several fronts at once. It runs a startup incubator, advertises a co-working space, produces an investment reality show called Chengrang leh Ngenmu, delivers an entrepreneurship curriculum to school students, holds a four-day starting-up bootcamp, and hosts a discussion platform for young people called TiLi TiTi. Most of this is aimed at Mizoram. None of its pages say whether founders from outside the state can join the incubator.

The incubator and co-working space

The TiLi Centre is on the second floor of the MV119 JL Building in Mission Veng, Aizawl. TiLi states that it has been onboarded as a Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) incubation centre, one of four from the North East at the time of signing, with a focus on technology, management and innovation. That status is TiLi's own statement; we could not check it against an official Startup India page.

A Government of Mizoram press release from 9 September 2021 reported the centre's opening, inaugurated by the Director of the Labour Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship department. It described the centre as having learning spaces, a co-working space, private offices for hire, training and meeting rooms, and an incubation centre for new startups, along with business and management consultation. TiLi's own home page also advertises a co-working space.

The incubator page lists the startups that have been through the centre. They include aDumAVar, Made by Mizo, Peipung Edu-tech, Vakiria Pvt. Ltd., Lamkal Service Pvt. Ltd., Shaiwave Technologies, Zosang Agro Pvt. Ltd, Thiamna.com, Suzzane Delish Delight, Digicont Solution, Flavour of Korea and L Shai. The pages do not state whether the incubator charges a fee, takes equity, or has an application window open now.

Chengrang leh Ngenmu, the investment reality show

Chengrang leh Ngenmu, shortened to Ch&Ng, is described by TiLi as Mizoram's first investment reality show, where entrepreneurs pitch for investment. It began in 2021. TiLi's programmes page reports four completed seasons, while its home page still describes the third season as running, so the home page appears to be out of date. TiLi also reports a 94% survival rate for the startups funded through the show. That figure is undated and comes from TiLi itself. The site gives no entry criteria for the show.

School and youth programmes

The TiLi Entrepreneurial Mindset Curriculum, called Intodelh Inzirtirna in Mizo, runs under Samagra Shiksha, Mizoram. It introduces High School and Higher Secondary students to entrepreneurship and is delivered through schools, so it is not an open application for individual founders.

The Starting Up Bootcamp is a four-day onsite training programme focused on an entrepreneurial and starting-up mindset. TiLi TiTi, the Mizoram Discourse Platform, is a place for young people to share ideas and perspectives openly. It is a community platform, not a funding or incubation programme.

Government and national links

TiLi says it is a partner organisation of the Labour Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship department of the Government of Mizoram, helping plan and drive entrepreneurship in the state. It also says it is the partner for Mizoram under Project NEW (North East Entrepreneurship World), run by NabFoundation, the NABARD foundation, for skill development in the North East.

TiLi states that it signed an agreement with MeitY Startup Hub to serve as a GENESIS Implementing Agency, supporting startup cohorts in Tier-II and Tier-III cities. We could not find this role on MeitY Startup Hub's own pages, and the GENESIS EIR 3.0 call is a MeitY Startup Hub programme, not a TiLi programme. Ask TiLi before assuming it is hosting a GENESIS cohort.

Events and location

AIC-SMU Technology Business Incubator reported that it held a Digi-SAPNE roadshow at TiLi in Aizawl on 30 October 2024, attended by more than 30 founders.

TiLi is at TiLi Center, 2nd Floor, MV119 JL Building, Mission Veng, Aizawl, Mizoram 796005. Its role inbox is admin@tili.co.in, and the site also has a contact form. TiLi's pages show two different phone numbers, so use the email or form rather than relying on either.
