StartupGrants India

Startup Grants & Funding for Student-Founded Startups

Student startup grants in India come primarily through AICTE's Student Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP), Gujarat's SSIP 2.0 with a ₹500 Crore corpus (Startup Srujan Seed Support of ₹2.5-10 Lakhs per team), and institute-level pre-incubation funds at IITs, IIMs, NITs, IISERs, and DST-recognised TBIs. DST's NIDHI-EIR fellowship pays a monthly stipend to graduating students pursuing entrepreneurship, and most central incubators waive prior-incorporation requirements for collegiate teams. Premier institute accelerators (NSRCEL, CIIE.CO, FITT, SINE) take 3-7% equity for ₹10-50 Lakhs in seed capital.
