Junior Robo Sumo is a head-to-head robotics combat challenge held as part of TechTrix'26, hosted at I.T.S Engineering College in Greater Noida. Two teams go wheel-to-wheel in a sumo-style knockout match, each piloting a custom-built, wirelessly controlled robot. The objective is straightforward: push your opponent's robot completely outside the competition ring while keeping your own robot in play. Success hinges on robot control, strategy, stability, and quick decision-making under pressure.

Robot Specifications
Pre-Event Inspection Teams must report to the arena at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match. Every robot undergoes a mandatory technical inspection and weigh-in before competing. A robot that fails to meet the dimension, weight, power, or control specifications will not be allowed to compete.
Match Rules
Judging Criteria If neither robot is eliminated within the 5-minute time limit, the referee decides the winner based on aggression (which robot consistently initiated attacks or pushes), strategy (effectiveness of tactics used to push the opponent or avoid being pushed), and control (which robot maintained the best control of its movements and positioning).
Disqualification Immediate disqualification applies for fire or flame-based systems, projectile systems, chemical or corrosive substances, RF interference or signal-disruption devices, any mechanism designed to injure a person, exceeding published dimension/weight/voltage limits, using a wired controller or autonomous operation, and poor social conduct, misbehaviour, foul or abusive language, unsportsmanlike conduct, or intentional damage to the ring or campus property. The Event Jury, Referee, and Technical Committee hold final authority on all match outcomes, penalties, safety decisions, and rule interpretation.
Participant Opportunities Winners can secure credential sponsorship worth up to ₹15,00,000 and receive event certificates through TruScholar's blockchain-powered digital credential platform. Student benefits include lifetime access to the TruScholar Smart Credential Wallet, an AI-powered Career Coach, an AI-based Interview Preparation Tool, TruResume (an ATS-friendly AI resume builder), and an integrated job and internship portal.
