Passing Through is a new series of intimate gatherings hosted by NVRFOUND in Bengaluru, bringing together designers, makers, and thinkers who are passing through the city. Each edition picks a single subject, finds a room, and gives curiosity an hour of focused conversation.
Edition 01: Kimya Gandhi & Rob Keller
For the inaugural edition, the series sits down with Kimya Gandhi and Rob Keller of Mota Italic, a type design studio known for its work across Latin and Indic scripts. The conversation centres on movie posters and cinematic titles - how much a film communicates before a single word of dialogue is spoken.
What to expect
Format
The gathering is deliberately kept small - a circle of designers, writers, artists, and founders who have something to ask or contribute. The guest is the reason for gathering; the room is where the conversation becomes interesting. Attendees will also receive the first Passing Through field guide, a small editioned physical zine collecting references and vernacular letterforms from the evening.
Who it's for
Designers, typographers, writers, artists, creative founders, and anyone working at the intersection of visual culture and storytelling. The session is relevant to product designers and brand builders interested in how typography carries meaning, and to founders building consumer or media products where visual identity matters.
