What it is
Qiskit Fall Fest 2026 is a hands-on, beginner-friendly quantum programming workshop held in Bengaluru, built around Qiskit - the open-source quantum computing SDK developed by IBM - and the IBM Quantum Platform. The session is part of the global Qiskit Fall Fest series, a worldwide community-driven festival of quantum computing events hosted by universities, student clubs, and developer communities, and it is delivered locally by the QuantumX community.
Who it's for
The workshop is designed for students and recent graduates, PhD scholars and researchers, software developers and engineers, working professionals, and quantum computing enthusiasts. No prior quantum computing experience is required, which makes it a genuine entry point rather than a refresher for specialists. Note that the organisers state the event is exclusively for students and open to participants from all academic institutions.
What to expect
This is a live, guided, hands-on session rather than a lecture series. Participants work through demonstrations and practical exercises alongside the instructor, moving from setup to running real circuits within the same session. A certificate of participation is provided.
Agenda highlights
Learning outcomes
By the end of the workshop, attendees should be able to set up and use a Qiskit development environment, create and execute basic quantum circuits, run experiments on quantum simulators, navigate IBM Quantum services and resources, and continue their quantum computing journey with practical experience behind them.
Context on the series and organiser
Qiskit Fall Fest is an annual global programme run around IBM's Qiskit ecosystem, with local organisers hosting workshops, hackathons, and study sessions in their own cities. QuantumX is the community hosting this Bengaluru edition and maintains an ongoing community channel for updates on future workshops and opportunities in quantum computing.
Practical notes
Attendance is free. The event runs as a single half-day session. For queries, the organisers can be reached at events@quantumx.community, and participants are encouraged to join the QuantumX community for announcements about upcoming events.
