Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis leading up to the cohort start. The selection committee, comprising the Solo Founders team, assesses candidates based on their dedication to building a technology company as a solo founder, readiness to commit full-time, and the stage of their product development (from pre-launch to post-revenue). Shortlisted founders are invited for an interview, which also serves as an opportunity to discuss specific circumstances such as visa requirements. The program seeks founders building something real who are prepared for an intensive in-person experience in San Francisco.

Do I have to move to San Francisco?
Yes — the program is fully in-person. There is no remote option. You should plan to be in San Francisco for the full three months starting in February 2027. We encourage you to travel to speak with customers, and many alumni have successfully closed customers all over the world during SFP.
How much does it cost?
The program involves a 2.5% equity stake. Your initial US$100,000 investment comes on founder-friendly terms (uncapped MFN SAFE) designed to complement, not compete with, other funding rounds. There is no program fee; instead, you are compensated for your participation.
Do I need to live at the office?
No, housing is optional. We offer private bedrooms for US$1,500/month, prorated, near the office, or you can arrange your own accommodation in San Francisco. The program experience remains the same regardless of your housing choice.
Can I apply if I've already raised funding or gone through another accelerator?
Yes. Some founders join after raising capital or completing another program. Others apply pre-funding. SFP is designed to integrate with your existing trajectory, not to force a choice between our program and your next funding round.
Who is SFP for?
SFP is for solo founders who are building technology companies. You should be committed to working full-time on your company (or ready to transition to full-time engagement). We are stage-agnostic, accepting applications from pre-launch to post-revenue, but require that you are building something tangible and real.
What if I pivot during the program?
Pivoting during the program is acceptable. Some of the most successful outcomes originated from pivots. The program's support extends to you as a founder, not solely to your current idea, ensuring flexibility for evolution.
What about visas?
While we cannot sponsor visas, we actively assist founders navigating various visa types. We have a track record of successfully helping founders who were previously advised that their visa situation was insurmountable. Do not let visa concerns deter you from applying. If you have specific questions, please apply, and we will discuss your situation during the interview process.
What happens after the three months?
There isn't a formal 'graduation day.' You remain an integral part of the Solo Founders community, with ongoing access to weekly office hours, 1:1s with Julian, alumni events, and the continuously expanding network surrounding the program. This fosters a 'Solo, Together' ethos that persists beyond the program's duration.
