Who is eligible to apply for the Productization Grant?
Startups in the Product Development stage with an innovative technology product, incorporated as Pvt Ltd/LLP with active MCA status, and holding a valid KSUM Unique ID are eligible.
What is the maximum funding available under this grant?
Eligible startups can receive financial assistance of up to ₹7 lakhs. For women-led startups where women hold a major share, the grant can be up to ₹12 lakhs. If the startup has already availed the Idea Grant, only the remaining eligible amount can be claimed.
How is the grant disbursed?
The grant is released in milestone-based tranches, generally with 50% disbursed initially and the balance after submission of progress report and audited utilisation certificate.
Is margin money required?
Yes. Startups must bring 20% of the approved grant amount as margin money, applicable during the second tranche.
What expenses are not permitted under the grant?
Founder salaries, purchase of fixed assets (land, building, high-end equipment, costly software above ₹2 lakhs), rent, and major infrastructure setup are not permitted under the scheme.
