About CEDI
The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation (CEDI) is an independent company promoted by the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, established in 2012 and registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act. CEDI operates within the NIT campus, fostering an entrepreneurial ecosystem for technology start-ups, particularly in ICT and Electronics. It supports young entrepreneurs through incubation, acceleration, mentoring, and funding innovative ideas. The centre provides office space, business advice, and facilitates access to NIT Trichy's common infrastructure, departmental laboratories, and expert faculty for product development and student internships. CEDI offers seed funds and support for market access and managerial skills. It implements the TIDE project, funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), and runs programs under MeitY's GENESIS Scheme. CEDI also partners with Sonata Software to promote student innovation and entrepreneurship.
