About ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute

The Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), located in Izatnagar, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, is one of the oldest and most advanced veterinary research facilities in Asia, operating under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). IVRI has established the world's first Veterinary Business Incubator laboratory, along with an R-ABI (RKVY-RAFTAAR Agri Business Incubator) to support agri-startups in veterinary sciences and allied fields.

IVRI also hosts the ZTM-BPD Unit for technology commercialization, intellectual property management, and entrepreneurship development in the ICAR North Zone II. The institute has successfully commercialized technologies including the PPR vaccine and Goat Pox vaccine. Through its incubation programs, IVRI provides entrepreneurs with access to laboratory infrastructure, domain expertise from veterinary scientists, mentoring, and funding support to develop commercially viable products in animal health, dairy technology, and livestock management.
