Understand what you are applying for

Talrop is not an incubator or an accelerator, and the Request a Proposal form is not a startup application. You are applying to become a Project Owner: someone who commissions a ready-made ecosystem that Talrop builds, operates and then transfers back to you. Decide first whether that is what you want. If you are a founder looking for a cohort, mentoring or a grant, this is a different kind of organisation.

Choose a project type before you apply

The form asks you to pick a ready-to-deploy ecosystem or describe a custom one, so it helps to know which fits:

• Village Park — an AI hub for a rural or semi-urban community.
• AI Company / AI Park — for AI services and the front-office space around them.
• Techies Park / Inventor Park — for colleges and schools respectively.
• Skill Park — for skill development at scale.
• Healthcare Mall / Child Development Centre — for health and child development.
• Creator HQ — for the creator economy.

How the process works

Applications go through the Request a Proposal form, or you can reach the onboarding team through the contact page. The engagement is structured around Talrop incorporating a dedicated company, delivering and operating the asset, and transferring it to you as Founder and Chair at the end of the agreed period. Because that period differs by project type, confirm the build-operate-transfer timeline for the ecosystem you want before you commit.

Talrop is a Build, Operate & Transfer (B.O.T) company based in Kochi, Kerala, that executes self-sustaining socio-economic ecosystems. It works with governments, universities, corporates, individuals and non-profit organisations who have the capital or the vision for a project but not the capacity to execute it, and it operates internationally rather than only in Kerala.

Talrop describes its current model as Talrop 7.0, which it calls a shift from a community model to a permanent institutional model that integrates physical builds, capital, operations and technology into a single, scalable B.O.T model. This is worth stating plainly because it changes who the organisation is for: the party who comes to Talrop is a Project Owner commissioning an asset, not a founder being funded or mentored.

What they do

Talrop's core offering is a turnkey Build, Operate and Transfer model. A Project Owner initiates a project; Talrop handles the legal structuring, fundraising, land, physical build, technology, marketing and daily operations; and it then transfers a functioning, profitable asset back to the owner. Talrop states that the Project Owner becomes the Founder and Chair of a newly incorporated company and retains a founder equity stake, while Talrop takes a fee defined as a share of the project. The company is explicit that it, not the owner, manages the delivery.

Talrop says it executes this at scale through a dedicated network of specialised partner companies working behind the scenes, which it names as T-Next Ventures, iFuex Capital, TFB Network, Tegain, E-Starel Distribution, Steyp, GLIMS Health Care, Tykes Valley Educations, Whoyer Connect and the Talrop Foundation. From the owner's side these are not something to manage; Talrop manages them.

Project types

Talrop offers a set of ready-to-deploy ecosystem types that a Project Owner can commission, each delivered on the same B.O.T basis but over a different build-operate-transfer period. Village Park is a Global Capability Centre or AI Hub designed for rapid deployment in rural or semi-urban areas, delivered on a two-year cycle. AI Company is an AI services company that connects and powers a worldwide network of Global Capability Centers. AI Park is a 50,000 sq ft business park providing fully managed front-office space for AI service companies. Techies Park places innovation and entrepreneurship hubs inside college campuses, and Inventor Park places deep tech and robotics laboratories inside schools. Skill Park is a one-acre education and skill-development aggregator. Healthcare Mall is an integrated wellness and longevity environment, Child Development Centre is an AI-powered centre integrating multidisciplinary therapy and family-centred care, and Creator HQ is an AI-powered creator ecosystem with production studios, collaboration spaces and digital tools.

Who can apply

There is no founder cohort and no formal eligibility list. Any government, university, corporate, individual or non-profit organisation can request a proposal and, by paying the B.O.T fee, become the Project Owner for one of these ecosystems. The intake is open internationally: Talrop's request-a-proposal form lists nationalities including the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE and Saudi Arabia, so it is not restricted to India-based applicants. Several Village Park sites are currently listed as under construction across locations in Kerala, including Peringammala, Kallara, Kadakkal, Madhur, Parassala, Ezhukone, Mezhuveli, Vamanapuram, Keezhallur, Chithara, Panavoor and Kadukutty.
