About Venture Center
Venture Center is India's largest technology incubator for science-based startups, hosted by CSIR's National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) on its campus in Pune. Established in December 2006, it nurtures technology and knowledge-based enterprises by leveraging the scientific and engineering expertise of institutions in the Pune region. Over 17 years, Venture Center has supported more than 750 entrepreneurs, with over 85 percent of incubated startups still active. The incubator offers business mentoring, infrastructure support, access to NCL's scientific resources and instrumentation, funding connections, and specialised advisory services. Focus areas include healthcare (biotech, medtech, medical devices, diagnostics, therapeutics), agri-biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, energy and environment ventures, and social enterprises. Venture Center was selected for the Asian Association of Business Incubation's Incubator of the Year Award in 2018.
