The "Built with Opus 4.7: a Claude Code hackathon" is a week-long virtual competition organized by Cerebral Valley, a prominent global community for builders and innovators. This hackathon challenges
participants to harness the power of Anthropic's most advanced large language model, Claude Code with Opus 4.7, to develop groundbreaking projects. It's an exceptional opportunity for developers to explore and push the boundaries of AI applications, creating everything from practical workplace automations to entirely novel and imaginative solutions. Who Should Apply This hackathon is open to builders globally, including those from India. Up to 500 selected participants will have the unique opportunity to compete. It is ideal for developers, engineers, and innovators who are eager to experiment with and build upon cutting-edge AI models. Tracks / Themes The central theme of the hackathon is building innovative solutions using Claude Code and Opus 4.7. Projects can encompass a broad spectrum of applications, including but not limited to advanced workplace automations, sophisticated developer tools, creative AI-driven applications, and other inventive ideas leveraging large language models. Format & Timeline The hackathon will run virtually from April 21 to April 26, 2026. Participants will have a full week to develop, refine, and submit their projects. A distinguished panel of judges, including industry experts Boris Cherny, Lydia Hallie, and members of the Claude team, will evaluate submissions. Winners will be announced following the judging period. Prizes An impressive total cash prize pool of $100,000 (approximately ₹90,00,000) will be distributed among the top finalists: 1st Place: $50,000 (approximately ₹45,00,000) 2nd Place: $30,000 (approximately ₹27,00,000) 3rd Place: $10,000 (approximately ₹9,00,000) Three Additional Prizes: $5,000 each (approximately ₹4,50,000 each) In addition to the cash prizes, every selected participant will receive $500 in API credits to support their development efforts throughout the hackathon. Eligibility The hackathon is open to builders worldwide. Registration requires an approval process, and a maximum of 500 participants will be selected to compete.
