About the Competition The India Business Decode Challenge, organized by MarkHub24, aims to create one of the largest collections of original business and marketing case studies on India's unorganized
sector. Participants will identify, study, analyze, and document the marketing and business strategies of a real local business operating within the unorganized sector. Who Should Apply Open to individual participants (team size of 1) who are interested in grassroots business research and marketing analysis. Students, researchers, marketers, and entrepreneurs are all welcome. Themes The competition focuses on decoding the business strategy of India's unorganized champions. Eligible business categories include kirana stores, street food vendors, local restaurants, fashion retailers, mobile repair shops, electronics stores, coaching institutes, pharmacies, printing shops, beauty salons, local manufacturers, auto repair garages, vegetable vendors, stationery stores, home-based businesses, and more. Format & Timeline The competition launches on 11th June 2026. Participants must submit a comprehensive case study following a structured 9-section format covering business introduction, background, customer analysis, marketing strategy, business model, competitive landscape, challenges, recommendations, and key lessons. Submissions are due by 21st June 2026. Results will be announced on or before 24th June 2026. Prizes National Winner receives a certificate, featured publication, and MarkHub24 recognition. Top cases will be featured in official MarkHub24 publications, reports, website features, and social media showcases. Selected cases may be published in the "India Business Decode Report 2026" or "India's Unorganized Business Casebook" with full author credit. Eligibility Open to individuals. Team size is 1.
