VC Arena – The Apex Investor Challenge, organized by SPADE at Shivaji College, University of Delhi, is a high-stakes investment simulation designed to challenge aspiring fund managers. Participants
will navigate market uncertainties, decode complex financial signals, manage crises, and strategically outmanoeuvre rival funds to emerge as the sharpest investor. Who Should Apply This challenge is ideal for students with a keen interest in finance, venture capital, and strategic decision-making. Teams of 1 to 4 members are invited to test their analytical and decision-making skills in a competitive environment. Tracks / Themes The competition revolves around core themes of company evaluation, capital allocation, crisis management, and strategic competition within the venture capital landscape. It emphasizes decision-making under pressure and strategic thinking. Format & Timeline The event is a single-day, multi-round competition held physically at Peshwa Bajirao Sabhagar, Shivaji College, on April 22nd, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. It features three intense rounds: Round 1 – Allocation Phase: Analyze company profiles, select 4 out of 6 companies, and allocate a ₹150 crore corpus. Round 2 – Crisis Shock Phase: Decide which 2 companies to save and which 2 to sacrifice while handling crisis scenarios. Round 3 – Sabotage Phase: A head-to-head round where teams compete using their surviving companies, targeting opponents with crisis scenarios. Scores are cumulative across all rounds, with tie-breakers based on initial allocation strategy. Prizes A total cash prize pool of ₹7,000 is awarded to the top-performing teams. The 1st place team receives ₹4,000, and the 2nd place team receives ₹3,000. Eligibility The competition is open to teams comprising 1 to 4 members. Participants are expected to adhere to strict rules regarding communication, external help, and time limits. All decisions made by the organizers are final and binding.
