Event Overview Join us for the launch of Alter #5, an evening celebrating the unexpected science and history behind Indian ice cream. The issue begins with a ₹10 cup of Arun vanilla ice cream and explores why Indian ice cream melts so quickly. Through factories, freezers, petti kadas, and bike rides, heat finds a way in. We dive into the strange, sometimes accidental science used to make ice creams last longer, unpacking the history from Mughal kitchens to Turkish street corners.
