HP Power Lab 3.0 is a national-level innovation competition organised by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL), built around the theme "Your perspective. Our next possibility." The challenge invites students to submit bold, practical ideas that align with HPCL's vision of energy innovation and sustainability, addressing real-time problems and opportunities across the company's business focus areas.
Who it's for The competition is open to undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD scholars pursuing a full-time degree. Participants may register as individuals or in teams of 1 to 4. Cross-college, cross-year, and cross-specialisation teams are permitted, though a person cannot be part of more than one team. Team members cannot be modified after registration.
Competition structure
Prizes and rewards The winner receives up to ₹1,50,000, with the first runner-up getting ₹1,00,000, the second runner-up ₹75,000, and the third and fourth runners-up ₹50,000 each. Teams ranked 6th to 10th receive up to ₹30,000 each, bringing the total prize pool to ₹5.75 lakh. The top 50 participants stand a chance to secure summer internship opportunities at HPCL. Participation, appreciation, and merit certificates are awarded across Rounds 1, 2, and 3.
