About the Event
Pokerbots is a high-stakes algorithmic bot competition hosted by the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bangalore, as part of its Synergy '26 technical festival. Participants must code an autonomous Python bot that competes in a custom poker variant built on modified Texas Hold'em mechanics, deliberately designed to prevent the use of public repositories and force genuine algorithmic thinking.
Who It's For
The competition targets programmers, computer science students, and quantitative enthusiasts with strong skills in algorithmic trading, game theory, and probabilistic reasoning. Teams of exactly two members compete, and each individual may join only one team.
