The TBI page says ten alumni startups are currently incubated; a 2023 news post says twelve were being supported and mentored; a counter on the IEDC's site says thirty-three or more. We have published only the commercialised-products figure, with its date and its source. One of the named startups is spelled two ways, AIYGON and Alygon, in consecutive sentences on the same page.

Kerala Startup Mission inaugurated this centre at ASIET on 10 February 2015, and the college calls it the Adi Shankara IEDC Boot Camp, or ABC. It is a student innovation cell. It runs innovation challenges, entrepreneurship awareness camps, skill development and design thinking workshops, hackathons, startup boot camps, product expos and sessions with mentors and investors, and it keeps a pre-incubation co-working space for students who have registered a startup.
Who can apply
- Students of the college. In the centre's own words: "Membership is open to all students of the college."
- Nobody else. No route is published for a founder from outside ASIET.

The Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation sanctioned a Technology Business Incubation Centre at Adi Shankara in 2019. Alongside it the college describes a TBI Startup Boot Camp chapter supported by Startup Village, the college management and Kerala Startup Mission's Technopark TBI. Its objectives name students, faculty and alumni, and its focus areas are automation of traditional systems for rural communities, robotics and industrial IoT, rural technology, green technology, and AI and machine learning in healthcare. It is not a DST-recognised incubator and does not claim to be.
Who can apply
- Students, faculty and alumni of the college. Those are the three groups the objectives name.
- No eligibility list, deadline or application form is published, so an approach is a conversation rather than a submission.

- A three-stage path: pre-incubation, then incubation, then acceleration.

How to apply: there is no published intake. On campus, start with the incubation manager for the Adi Shankara TBI or with the IEDC office. From outside, the institute's general enquiry address is the only route, and no incubation inbox is published.

Labs & facilities

The two floor areas belong to two different rooms, the FabLab and the IEDC's Business Hub, and should not be added together. Only the FabLab's page mentions use by anyone from outside the college, and only with permission.
ASIET FabLab
About 1,365 square feet of digital fabrication: 3D printing, vinyl plotting, PCB milling, laser cutting and engraving, three-axis CNC milling, sand blasting, screen printing and electronic production. Its page says it is open to faculty and students across all technology disciplines, and to external partners with permission.
Business Hub
The IEDC's pre-incubation co-working space, about 1,435 square feet, used by students who have registered a startup. Conference tables, desks, chairs, a whiteboard and WiFi.

Everything here is a Kerala state designation. This is not a DST-recognised incubator. We checked all five DST NIDHI registers on 25 September 2026 — the combined TBI, NIDHI-TBI, Centre of Excellence and Special Centre list, reading both the host institute and the registered entity columns; the list of TBIs by principal investigator and organisation; the Centres of Excellence list; the Seed Support list; and the inclusive TBI list — and Adi Shankara appears in none of them. The college never claims otherwise. Two bodies named on its TBI page as supporters, Kerala Startup Mission's Technopark TBI and Startup Village, are themselves on that national list; that is their standing, not the college's. A 2023 news post on the institute's site also calls the campus centre one supported by the Ministry of MSME. The TBI page itself attributes the centre to KSIDC, the ministry's host-institute register was unreachable when we checked, and no other page repeats it, so we have left that claim out.

Kerala Startup Mission inaugurated the centre on 10 February 2015. An IEDC is KSUM's student innovation cell, so the schemes a member reaches through it are KSUM's.
Technology Business Incubation Centre sanctioned by KSIDC· 2019
The TBI page states that the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation sanctioned the centre in 2019. No sanction period or current status is published, so whether the backing still runs cannot be told from the site.
Kerala Startup Mission LEAP centre· 2023
The card was handed over on 12 September 2023 at the IEDC Summit, CET Trivandrum, and the college says it was one of five institutions in the state to receive one. What LEAP offers is access to KSUM's co-working, schemes and programmes.
