Clause 12.8 D 21 of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 pays half the cost of getting an MSME listed and selling online. The unit onboards onto the e-commerce platform developed by NSIC, or any similar platform approved by the State Government or Government of India, and claims back 50% of that cost subject to a maximum of ₹25,000 per unit. The benefit is capped at the first 1,000 units during the validity period of the policy, so it rewards moving early. It is aimed at small manufacturers who have never sold outside their district and for whom the setup and catalogue-listing fee is the main friction to a first online order.
