ACCESS Development Services is a Section 8 not-for-profit company established in 2006 as a national livelihoods support organization. Originally a spin-off from a DFID-supported programme focused on advancing microfinance and small enterprises in India, ACCESS works across the development sector value chain with Civil Society Organizations, Government Departments, the Corporate Sector, and multilateral agencies.
The organization focuses on building capacity of community-based institutions that deliver financial and livelihoods services to the poor and unreached households. Its initiatives span handloom weaving, farmer support, women entrepreneurship, refugee livelihoods, and child labour elimination in the handicraft sector. ACCESS implements programmes on the ground while also supporting policy advocacy at the national level.
Rural entrepreneurs, women-led microenterprises, artisan communities, and early-stage social ventures working on livelihood challenges in underserved geographies across India. ACCESS is relevant for founders building solutions at the intersection of financial inclusion, rural livelihoods, and community development. Organizations seeking partnerships for grassroots implementation of livelihood programs also benefit from ACCESS's extensive field network and policy experience.
