Agora Partnerships is a nonprofit organization that runs Kinesis, an accelerator for emerging impact businesses in Latin America and the Caribbean. Kinesis is open to companies in that region; its page does not say that Indian companies can apply.

Agora describes Kinesis as more than an acceleration programme. It aims to help companies work together as a collective force in their ecosystem, and its stated focus is sustainable growth, data integration, investment readiness, commercial partnerships and community.

How Kinesis runs

Kinesis runs as country cohorts. The Colombia cohort is listed from July 10 to September 27. A second group of countries, including Peru, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Chile, is listed from late September into early December, and Barbados is listed as a third cohort. The programme pages list these as finished, and the dates carry no year.

What companies get

According to the Kinesis page, Agora works with companies on three things: connections across 10 countries in the region for new markets and international presence, triple impact practices (social, environmental and economic) that prepare companies for recognised certifications, and coaching from a team of coaches on their growth goals.

Who can apply

The page addresses startups and emerging companies that meet its mandatory criteria. Non-mandatory criteria give priority to companies working on financial inclusion or education, among other impact areas.

Scale

The Agora homepage counts 8 countries where it has impacted. The Kinesis page refers to connections across 10 countries. These are two different figures, and both appear on the organization's own pages. The homepage also counts 3,500 graduates from its Train The Trainers and Juntas Contamos programmes.

Who runs it
