Pick the right route in

BHARAT IMPACT runs more than one door in, so start with what stage you're at:

• Have a working prototype or MVP and want funding, mentorship and access to the Jubilant ecosystem: apply to Impact Quest when a call is open.
• Not ready for a structured cohort, or based far from Noida: apply to the Virtual Incubation Program, which runs on a rolling basis and needs no relocation.
• Working in agritech, medtech, deep-tech or edtech and want a bigger platform: look at Impact Nest, run jointly with the IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre.
• Already scaling with a proven business model: watch for an open Grand Challenge, aimed at startups ready for pilots and investor connects.

How Impact Quest applications work

• Applications open with a call for applications and close on a stated deadline.
• An expert selection committee reviews applications and shortlists a batch of candidates.
• Shortlisted teams pitch in front of the selection committee at a pitch event before final selection.
• Selected startups move through an Early Incubation Stage first, then a Business Accelerator Stage for teams ready to scale.
• There is no fee to join Impact Quest.

• Business feasibility, market potential and scalability
• Team composition and capability
• A working prototype, alpha version or MVP is expected for most sectors; healthcare and inclusive-development applicants are expected to be further along, at MVP stage

Before you apply

• Have a registered entity, or be willing to register one. Unregistered founders can apply, but the application should be submitted in the names of all promoters or founders.
• Name one Primary Applicant. The application form tracks a single key decision-maker as the point of contact, even for a multi-founder team.
• Being in another incubator or holding other grants is not a blocker, but BHARAT IMPACT recommends applying only if you have time for an intensive programme, since mentoring and workshops are limited to founders and co-founders.

BHARAT IMPACT is a social-impact incubator run by Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, the not-for-profit CSR arm of the Jubilant Bhartia Group, from a centre in Sector-59, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It works with startups building solutions for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and it operates under the Jubilant Bhartia Centre for Social Entrepreneurship (JBCSE).

Who it supports

BHARAT IMPACT describes itself as sector agnostic, but its priority areas are agriculture and allied activities, healthcare and life sciences, circular economy and waste management, rural livelihoods and enterprises, inclusive development and education, climate action, and emerging technology including deep-tech and AI/ML. It looks for founders working full time on a clear social or environmental problem, usually with a working prototype, an alpha version, or an MVP already in hand, and it also considers non-profits with a revenue model that want to convert into a for-profit entity. Eligible applicants can be individuals, unregistered founding teams, or entities registered as a private limited company, sole proprietorship, one person company, partnership firm, or LLP.

Programmes

Its main incubation route is Impact Quest, run through the Early Incubation Stage and the Business Accelerator Stage. The Early Incubation Stage runs for about six months and covers idea validation, MVP development, market fundamentals, pitch coaching, and mentorship from social entrepreneurs and sector leaders through webinars and boot camps. The Business Accelerator Stage runs for about three months and adds customised mentor and funding support, access to Jubilant Group businesses for proof-of-concept testing, roadshows to meet investors, and help with compliance and follow-up fundraising. A cohort typically moves from selection to a graduation demo day with investors over roughly nine months. Impact Quest has run in at least two prior cohorts, named Impact Quest 1.0 and 2.0 on the site, with a further 2025 edition announced through a call for applications and a press release naming its selected startups.

Alongside Impact Quest, BHARAT IMPACT runs a Virtual Incubation Program open to social entrepreneurs anywhere in India. It is explicit that this track does not carry direct funding; instead it offers structured mentorship modules, knowledge sessions on topics like IPR, fundraising and impact measurement, networking with investors and partners, and access to toolkits and templates, with occasional in-person bootcamps at the Noida centre.

It also co-runs Impact Nest, an accelerator launched jointly with the IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre, for early-stage startups in agritech, sustainability, medtech, deep-tech, edtech and social impact. Impact Nest gives founders access to IIM Lucknow's ecosystem and infrastructure, including its supercomputing, IoT and 3D-printing labs, plus specialised legal, IPR and financial helpdesks and go-to-market support.

A separate track, Grand Challenges, is pitched as a way to identify startups with strong, scalable business models and connect them with industry players, investors and mentors for pilots, co-development and procurement. Its named challenge so far is Fortify To Scale.

BHARAT IMPACT has also run a short, paid AI-literacy workshop series called AI for Good, delivered over a weekend with a training partner, aimed at founders and working professionals who want a practical introduction to using AI tools rather than a startup incubation track.

Facilities and support

BHARAT IMPACT operates a co-working centre at its Noida address, offering desks, meeting rooms, high-speed internet, printing, and weekly on-site visits from an MBBS doctor. Its training and conference room, activity room and meeting room are also available to lease for external training programmes, workshops and events, with the activity room able to seat fifty to sixty people. Beyond the physical space, founders in its programmes get handholding on startup compliance and structured mentorship, along with introductions to investors, VCs and HNIs through periodic roadshows.

Track record

BHARAT IMPACT's own pages give different counts for how many startups it has incubated, ranging from 40 on one panel to more than 44 on another on the same homepage, while a recent news report also puts the figure at 44 with roughly a dozen named across its published cohorts, including Buckrate, Biofound Biotech, Ecohive Solutions, Farooqii Feeds, Livestockify, UGreen Technology and Zyenika Adaptive Clothing. Named partners across its programmes include IIMA Ventures and the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, alongside an ecosystem list that spans NSRCEL at IIM Bangalore, the IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre, IIM Kozhikode's LIVE, IIT Roorkee's TIDES, IRMA's iSEED, DPIIT Startup India, FICCI and Invest India.

Who runs it

BHARAT IMPACT sits inside Jubilant Bhartia Foundation, which was established in 2007 as a Section 8 not-for-profit and has for years run the Social Entrepreneur of the Year award with the Schwab Foundation. The Foundation is the CSR arm of the Jubilant Bhartia Group, a conglomerate with businesses spanning pharmaceuticals, contract research, life-science ingredients, agri products, performance polymers and food service.
