About CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF TOOL DESIGN
The Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), Hyderabad, established in 1968, is described as the first tool room and training centre in Asia, dedicated to grooming socially conscious technocrats. It offers programs from Certificate to M.E. in fields such as Tool Design & Manufacturing, CAD, CAM, CAE, VLSI, Embedded Systems, AI, ML, Industry 4.0, and 3D Printing. Beyond academics, CITD provides consultancy services to PSUs and multinational corporations, and supports Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with advanced tooling solutions and common facility services. The institute actively aligns its training and research with Industry 4.0 advancements, focusing on hands-on experience and industry collaborations.
