IRMA ISEED Foundation (Incubator for Social Enterprises and Entrepreneurs for Development) is the incubation arm of the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) in Gujarat, launched in August 2016. Supported by the Department of Science and Technology, ISEED is one of the few incubators in India with a clear focus on rural and social enterprises, working with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to build an inclusive startup ecosystem.
ISEED co-creates a social entrepreneurial ecosystem through its network of enterprise and ecosystem partners by providing mentoring and networking support, collaborative research, entrepreneurship training, and capacity building. The foundation works with early-stage enterprises focused on rural livelihoods, sustainable agriculture, agricultural mechanization, rural tourism, and community development. IRMA's deep expertise in rural management and cooperative enterprise provides incubatees with unique domain knowledge that general-purpose incubators cannot offer.
Social entrepreneurs and rural enterprise founders working on livelihoods, sustainable agriculture, food processing, rural tourism, and community development. Not-for-profit organizations seeking incubation support and capacity building for scaling their impact in rural India.
