Labs & facilities
Equipment and space on campus.
The Incubation Centre describes laboratories, dedicated workspaces and prototyping equipment in general terms only. Nothing is named or measured on its pages, so ask what is actually available before planning around it.
Laboratories, workspaces and prototyping equipment
Access via SRMIST Delhi-NCR Campus
Stated generically on the Incubation Centre page — no lab is named, no area or seat count is given, and no access terms are published.
Support services
Help offered alongside funding and space.
Business advisory
The centre states market research, legal and financial advice, and help reaching funding opportunities, plus mentoring by industry experts. No further detail is published.
IP & patents
The incubation team page says technology officers guide ventures through IP protection and investor pitching.
Recognitions & empanelments
Official approvals this incubator holds.
The campus website makes no claim of Atal Incubation Centre, AIM/NITI Aayog, NIDHI, DST Technology Business Incubator or DPIIT status, and we found none in any register. The ARIIA rank shown on its accreditations page is the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements — a ranking of institutions, not an incubator recognition — and it, like the NAAC, UGC and NIRF entries there, is stated for SRM Institute of Science and Technology as a whole rather than for this campus.
Host Institute, MSME Innovative Scheme (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises)
Entry 117 on the Ministry's published List of Host Institutes for the incubation component of the MSME Innovative Scheme, as "SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Delhi-NCR Campus, Delhi- Meerut Road, Modinagar, Ghaziabad U.P." (Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh), re-checked against the ministry's live list on 24 September 2026. This is the status that lets an innovator name the institute as their Host Institute on the ministry's own portal. The list gives no approval date, no period and no status column, so whether the recognition is current cannot be told from it, and being listed is a capacity registration rather than evidence the institute has hosted an approved idea.
How to apply to SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Delhi-NCR Campus, Delhi- Meerut Road, Modinagar, Ghaziabad U.P.
Before you write to them
This campus has an Incubation Centre but no published intake. There is no form, no cohort, no deadline and no stated eligibility rule on its website, so treat a first approach as an enquiry rather than an application. Ask three things plainly: whether outside founders (not only SRM students and faculty) are taken on, what a founder actually gets, and whether there is any fee or equity involved. None of that is answered anywhere on their pages.
Where to send it
The Incubation Centre publishes the office of the campus Chief Technology Officer as its contact, at cto.ncr@srmist.edu.in. For anything to do with the MSME Innovative Scheme, the ministry's own Host Institute list records dean.research.ncr@srmist.edu.in for this campus. General campus enquiries go to info.ncr@srmist.edu.in.
What to lead with
- A one-line description of what you are building and what stage it is at — the centre's stated support is aimed at ideation and prototyping, not later stages.
- Whether you fall inside their three thrust areas: electric vehicles, artificial intelligence, or digital twins. They say they take ideas in other fields too, so say so if you do not, but name the fit if you do.
- What you actually need from them — bench space, prototyping equipment, mentors, IP help, or a Host Institute for an MSME scheme application. Being specific matters more than usual here, because there is no programme description to map yourself onto.
If you are applying through the MSME Innovative Scheme
Check the ministry's Host Institute list yourself before you name this campus on an application, and confirm directly with the institute that it is still willing to host. The published list carries no approval date or status column, so currency cannot be read off it.
Watch the entity
SRM has several campuses and several separately named universities. This is the Delhi-NCR campus at Modinagar, Ghaziabad — not SRMIST Kattankulathur near Chennai, not the Ramapuram or Tiruchirappalli campuses, and not SRM University AP at Amaravati. All of them appear separately on the MSME host-institute list, so make sure your correspondence and any application name the Ghaziabad campus.
About SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Delhi-NCR Campus, Delhi- Meerut Road, Modinagar, Ghaziabad U.P.
SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Delhi-NCR Campus is a satellite campus of SRMIST, the deemed-to-be university whose main campus is at Kattankulathur near Chennai. It sits on the Delhi-Meerut Road at Modinagar in Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh, on a site the campus describes as over 27 acres, and it was established in 1997. Its startup activity runs through an Incubation Centre, presented on the campus website as the Innovation Hub inside the Research and Innovation section.
What the Incubation Centre does
The centre describes itself as a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs, set up to help innovative ideas become working ventures. It names three thrust areas — electric vehicles, artificial intelligence and digital twins — and says explicitly that it does not limit itself to them, encouraging people with ideas in other fields to join. Under electric vehicles it names electric mobility, smart charging infrastructure, battery management and green propulsion. Under artificial intelligence it names algorithms, deep learning and automation applied across industries. Under digital twins it names simulation and optimisation for smart manufacturing, healthcare and urban planning.
What the centre says it offers is laboratories, dedicated workspaces and prototyping equipment, a network of mentors and industry experts, and business support that covers market research, legal and financial advice, and help reaching funding opportunities. Its own team page says the technology officers guide ventures through ideation, prototyping, IP protection and investor pitching. None of this is broken down further on the site — no lab is named, no workspace size or seat count is given, and no fee or equity policy is stated.
Who can apply, and how
This is the part to be clear-eyed about. The campus publishes no application form, no intake window, no cohort, no eligibility criteria and no apply link anywhere on its site. The Innovation Hub section is three pages — an overview, the team, and past events — and none of them carries an application route. The centre's own language is mixed on who it is for: the page headline describes it as supporting student and faculty innovators, and the team page says the officers guide student and faculty ventures, while the body text addresses students, researchers and startups and invites entrepreneurs from all fields to join the ecosystem. An outside founder should read that as an open invitation without a published process, and should write to the Chief Technology Officer's office, whose email and phone number the centre publishes, to ask what is actually available.
There is one concrete route that does not depend on the campus website. This campus is on the Ministry of MSME's published list of Host Institutes for the incubation component of the MSME Innovative Scheme, at entry 117, listed under Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. That status is what lets an innovator name the institute as their Host Institute when applying to the ministry's own scheme. The ministry's list gives no approval date and no status column, so whether the listing is current cannot be told from it, and being listed is a registration of capacity rather than evidence that the campus has run approved ideas through it.
Track record
The campus publishes no startup count, no portfolio company, no cohort size and no funding figure for the Incubation Centre. What it does publish are events: five between August 2024 and February 2025, including a workshop on data protection and online security, a panel on digital tools for MSMEs, a 40-hour Big Data Science bootcamp run with the Ministry of Electronics and IT's FutureSkills PRIME programme, a drone demo day, and an expert talk on innovation and engineering. The campus separately reports research activity — 265 PhD scholars, and citation metrics to June 2025 of an institutional h-index of 50, an i-10 index of 269 and 6,208 citations since 2017.
A note on accreditations. The campus site shows UGC Category-1 status, an NAAC A++ grade, an NIRF rank, an ARIIA rank, AICTE and PCI approvals and a QS world ranking band. Those are stated for SRM Institute of Science and Technology as a whole, not for this campus or for its Incubation Centre. ARIIA in particular is the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements — a ranking of institutions, not a recognition as an Atal Incubation Centre. The campus site makes no claim of Atal Incubation Centre, AIM or NITI Aayog, NIDHI, DST Technology Business Incubator or DPIIT status, and we found none in any register.
