HackNexus'26 is a national-level online hackathon organised by Droidecks, designed to bring together innovative minds from colleges across India to solve real-world challenges through technology. The
hackathon is fully online, allowing participants to learn, build, and compete from anywhere during their semester break. Who Should Apply Open to all college and university students across India. Participants can register individually or as a team of 2–4 members. Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. Tracks / Themes Problem statements will be provided by the organisers across various domains. Participants choose one problem statement to work on throughout the competition. Format & Timeline The hackathon consists of three competitive rounds: - Round 1 (PPT & Abstract Submission): Teams submit a project abstract and a presentation (max 8–9 slides) covering problem statement, proposed solution, technical approach, system architecture, expected impact, and business model. Evaluation criteria: problem understanding, innovation, technical feasibility, impact potential, presentation quality. - Round 2 (Build Phase): Shortlisted teams develop and implement their solution. Deliverables include source code repository, working deployment/demo link, demo video (4–5 minutes), project documentation, and impact statement. Evaluation: technical implementation, functionality, innovation, user experience, scalability, real-world impact, documentation quality. - Round 3 (Final Jury Presentation & Q&A): Top teams present live to judges via Google Meet or Zoom, including a live demo and Q&A. Evaluation: depth of technical knowledge, solution effectiveness, problem-solving approach, innovation, presentation skills, impact and future scope. Prizes Total cash prize pool of ₹70,000 distributed among winning teams. All participants receive recognition from industry and academic experts.
