The India High School Exoplanet Data Challenge is a beginner-friendly, low/no-code hackathon organised by Celesta. Participants will work with real astronomical data to identify and characterize
exoplanets, gaining hands-on experience in data analysis and machine learning. Who Should Apply Open to high school students across India. No prior coding experience required — the challenge is designed to be accessible to beginners. Format & Timeline The challenge runs online from June 15 to July 31, 2026. Participants work individually or in teams, submitting their analysis and findings by the deadline. Judging is based on accuracy, creativity, and clarity of presentation. Prizes Total prize pool of $10,300 (approximately ₹9,27,000 INR) distributed across top submissions. Eligibility Open to Indian high school students. Teams allowed (size not specified).
