Manoeuvre is a robotics competition hosted as part of Techkriti, the annual science and technology festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Techkriti is one of Asia's largest student-run technical festivals, drawing participants from engineering colleges across India for a programme of competitions, exhibitions, workshops, and talks. Manoeuvre sits within its robotics track and challenges teams to design, build, and operate a manually controlled bot capable of precision manipulation.

Rules and Regulations
Who It's For The competition is aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students interested in robotics, mechanical design, embedded systems, and control engineering. It is a hands-on build-and-compete format rather than a spectator event, so participants should expect to prototype, iterate, and debug their hardware on site.

Why It Matters Robotics competitions of this kind are a recognised pipeline for hardware and deeptech talent in India, giving student builders a venue to demonstrate mechanical design, actuation, and control skills to peers, faculty, and industry observers. For early-stage hardware founders and recruiters, events like Manoeuvre are a useful window into emerging engineering talent from the IIT ecosystem.
