The MeitY GENESIS EiR (Entrepreneur-in-Residence) program is a government initiative to fortify the startup ecosystem in Tier II and Tier III cities. Hosted by the ACIC-BMU Foundation, the program provides a grant and dedicated mentorship to innovators and startups to help them develop their ideas into prototypes. It focuses on supporting tech ventures in key domains such as DeepTech, Electronic Design and Manufacturing (ESDM), and Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

Who is eligible to apply?
Indian citizens who are full-time UG/PG students or DPIIT-recognized startup founders (startup ≤2 years old). The innovation must be at the ideation to prototype stage, and applicants must be from Tier II or III cities.
What is the funding amount?
The grant is up to ₹10,00,000. The minimum amount is not specified.
Do I need to be physically present at the incubation centre?
Yes, selected applicants must be physically incubated at the ACIC-BMU Foundation centre.
