The NewGen IEDC is a DST initiative aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among science and technology students by supporting the development of innovative, commercially viable projects. It provides financial support of up to ₹2.5 lakhs per project for Proof-of-Concept (PoC) or prototype development. This includes ₹25,000 for mentor support, ₹25,000 for company registration (as a stipend for legal entity formation), and ₹200,000 for materials, fabrication, and prototyping. The program also offers mentoring, incubation support, access to workshops, and startup advisory. Top-performing teams may qualify for additional funding opportunities.
