Programmes they run

Standing programmes at Cultiv8 (CIET-TBI), separate from the funding calls above.

Two routes are live: the year-round incubation intake and the paid LaunchLite sprint. The accelerator cohorts are past programmes kept here for context. Two further items on Cultiv8's site — an Intrapreneurship Accelerator and an Idea to Business programme — are one-line descriptions with no page and no way to apply, so they are not listed as programmes.

Cultiv8's standing, year-round incubation intake, with coworking, mentors and a route to seed support through DST and Startup India schemes.

Best for: Startups at any stage from idea to growth that want space, mentors and a route to seed support in Coimbatore

  • Idea – Growth
  • Not stated; rolling intake
  • In person
  • Grant support for selected startups

With Zoho, Department of Science and Technology (NIDHI-SSS), Startup India (SISFS)

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

This is the main door into Cultiv8. There are no cohort dates and no deadline — one application form stays open all year, and the same form is also the funding application.

What you get

  • Zoho credits for your software stack
  • A seat in Cultiv8's coworking space in Coimbatore
  • Access to mentors and to technical expertise
  • Networking and learning with the other startups in the Cultiv8 community
  • A route to seed support through the NIDHI Seed Support System and the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme
  • A downloadable manual on intellectual property rights

Who can apply

  • Cultiv8 publishes no eligibility rules for this programme. Nothing restricts it to CIET students or staff, and no stage, sector or incorporation requirement is stated.
  • The incubator says it works with startups from idea and early stage through to companies seeking their next level of growth.

How selection works: Not published. Seed decisions are made by a named SEED committee that includes angel investors and fund managers.

How to apply: Use the Apply for Incubation link in the header of Cultiv8's site — it opens the same application form as the Apply Now and Apply for Funding buttons. You will need to be signed in to a Google account. Questions go to business@thecultiv8.com.

A four-week, operator-led sprint that takes an idea-stage founder from an ambiguous idea to a validated plan and a 90-day roadmap.

Best for: Idea-stage and very early-stage founders who want structure and weekly accountability

  • Idea – MVP
  • 4 weeks
  • Paid

With LaunchSphere Labs, Zoho, MathWorks

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

LaunchLite is advertised as the 2026 edition of Cultiv8's venture-studio sprint. The incubator is blunt that it is not a course: it is four weeks of hands-on execution with weekly deliverables, run by startup operators. It charges a programme fee.

What you get

  • Week 1, problem and founder clarity: the customer pain point, and why you are the right person to build this
  • Week 2, solution and validation: rapid experiments and customer interviews to test whether the market will pay
  • Week 3, MVP and go-to-market: the scope of the product and the channels to reach the first hundred users
  • Week 4, execution roadmap: milestones, resources and measures for the next three to six months
  • Weekly mentorship, cohort accountability and peer learning
  • A 90-day execution roadmap and access to the LaunchSphere Labs ecosystem
  • Listed alongside the sprint: seed support through the DST and Startup India schemes, Zoho credits, MathWorks simulation software, coworking space in Coimbatore, and prototyping lab and test bed facilities

Who can apply

  • Idea-stage and very early-stage founders, including those at MVP, proof-of-concept or early traction
  • Best fit named by Cultiv8: legal tech, real estate tech, agri tech and industrial automation

How selection works: On commitment, coachability and execution mindset rather than on the idea. Cultiv8's own line is that it is not looking for perfect ideas but for committed builders.

How to apply: Use the Register Now link on the LaunchLite page. Ask at business@thecultiv8.com if the next start date is not shown.

Full LaunchLite Venture Studio Founder Sprint guide

A 2024 cohort that took ten Tamil Nadu startups through an Australia-led accelerator; closed, with no new intake announced.

Best for: Tamil Nadu startups wanting to build for global markets

  • 2024 cohort; roughly June to September 2024

With Jumpstart Studio, Payirgal, London & Partners

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

This programme ran in 2024 and is included because it is the clearest picture of what a Cultiv8 accelerator cohort looks like. It is closed — orientation was in June 2024 and the demo day in September 2024, and no later edition has been announced.

What you get

  • Startup education and mentoring from Australia-based and local facilitators and mentors
  • Stated outcomes: growth and traction, investment readiness, global expansion opportunities, and a founder community
  • Participants had a session with London & Partners

Who can apply

  • Ten Indian startups based in Tamil Nadu. This was the only geography condition Cultiv8 has published for any of its programmes.

How to apply: There is no live application route. Watch Cultiv8's news and events page for a new cohort.

Official programme page

Cultiv8's two earlier in-house accelerator cohorts, both described in the past tense with no live intake.

Best for: Startups looking for product-market fit and go-to-market execution support

What you get, who can apply and how to apply

Both editions are closed and Cultiv8 gives no dates for either. They are listed here so founders can see the shape of the support if a third edition opens.

What you get

  • Accelerator 2.0: product-market-fit validation and go-to-market execution, with hands-on mentorship and growth support
  • Accelerator 1.0: reported eleven startups accelerated, three of which expanded into global markets, and more than 250 hours of mentoring and go-to-market support delivered

Who can apply

  • Not published for either edition.

How to apply: No route is open. Ask at business@thecultiv8.com whether another edition is planned.

Labs & facilities

Equipment and space on campus.

The coworking space and the prototyping facilities are Cultiv8's own. The AICTE-IDEA Lab belongs to the host college and is written up as host access.

Cultiv8 Coworks, Peelamedu

Plug-and-play workstations, dedicated or hot desks, flexible timings, meeting rooms and high-speed internet, at Gurusamy Nagar on Codissia Road. Open to outside teams as well as incubatees, through its own enquiry form.

Prototyping lab and test bed facilities

Listed by Cultiv8 among the benefits available to founders. The incubator does not publish an equipment list.

AICTE-IDEA Lab

Access via Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology

The host college's own innovation lab, described by CIET as serving its students, stakeholders and faculty. Cultiv8 does not name it as an incubatee facility, so treat it as host access.

Support services

Help offered alongside funding and space.

These are the services Cultiv8 names across its homepage, funding page and programme pages. It does not publish prices or say whether they are included in incubation.

Business advisory

Mentoring on product positioning, marketing and sales strategy, and growing demand for the product.

Legal & finance

Business plan and information memorandum, advice on the instrument to raise against, financial modelling and projections, valuation, exit planning, and fund documents and agreements.

Market access

Introductions to investors and financial institutions, deal negotiation on the startup's behalf, and overseas connects for expansion.

Design services

Infrastructure, consulting and manpower to build the product, on a stated 90-day target.

IP & patents

A downloadable manual on intellectual property rights for incubatees.

Recognitions & empanelments

Official approvals this incubator holds.

Both seed routes are stated by Cultiv8 on its own pages but could not be confirmed against the government registers in this pass, and neither publishes a sanction period. The MSME host-institute listing belongs to the host college.

Seed support through NIDHI-SSS (Seed Support System), Department of Science and Technology

Cultiv8 states on its own funding page that it gives seed support to its startups through NIDHI-SSS, supported by DST, and its portfolio page groups companies under a 'Seed Funded Startups by NIDHI-SSS' heading. This is the incubator's own claim; it could not be checked against DST's register in this pass. NIDHI-SSS is one of several separate NIDHI registers and is NOT the same as recognition as a NIDHI-TBI, i-TBI, Special Centre or Centre of Excellence — Cultiv8 calls itself a technology business incubator but never claims a TBI sanction. No sanction date or funding period is published, so whether the support is current cannot be told.

Seed-disbursing incubator, Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)

Cultiv8 states that it supports startups through SISFS by Startup India, groups part of its portfolio under a 'Seed Funded Startups by SISFS' heading, and names a company that received SISFS money from it in September 2024. Self-stated on the incubator's own pages; the SISFS incubator registry could not be queried in this pass, and no approval date or period is published.

Host Institute, MSME Innovative Scheme (Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises)

Listed at entry 747 of the Ministry's published List of Host Institutes for the incubation component of the MSME Innovative Scheme, as "COIMBATORE INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY" (COIMBATORE, TAMIL NADU), checked 24 September 2026. This is the status that lets an innovator name the institute as their Host Institute when applying on the ministry's own portal. The list gives no approval date, no period and no status column, so whether the recognition is current cannot be told from it; and being listed is a capacity registration, not evidence that the institute has ever hosted an approved idea. It belongs to the host college, not to Cultiv8, which never mentions it.

How to apply to Cultiv8 (CIET-TBI)

Apply for Incubation, Apply Now और Apply for Funding लिखे सभी बटन एक ही जगह ले जाते हैं।

About Cultiv8 (CIET-TBI)

Cultiv8 is the technology business incubator of Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology (CIET), and it uses the short name CIET-TBI. The college sits at Vellimalaipattinam, Narasipuram, about an hour west of central Coimbatore, and links to Cultiv8 from its own main menu. Cultiv8 keeps a separate website and a separate address in the city, so a founder deals with the incubator rather than with the college.

The incubator describes itself as a startup ecosystem powered by the Government of India, and says it works with founders across the whole range, from idea and early stage through to companies looking for their next level of growth. It is currently active: its news page runs to February 2026 and lists workshops on exit strategies, sales, electric vehicle architecture and vehicle control unit prototyping, alongside a session run by StartupTN in association with Cultiv8.

How programmes work

There are two live ways in. The first is the standing incubation programme, which has no cohort dates and no deadline. You apply through one online form that is linked from every page of the Cultiv8 site, and the same form doubles as the funding application. The programme is described through what it gives you: Zoho credits, a desk in the Coimbatore coworking space, mentors and technical help, the company of other startups in the Cultiv8 community, and a route to seed money through the NIDHI Seed Support System and the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme.

The second is LaunchLite, advertised as the 2026 Venture Studio Founder Sprint. It is a four-week, operator-led sprint for idea-stage and very early-stage founders, and it charges a fee. Each week has a fixed job: problem and founder clarity, then solution and validation, then defining the minimum viable product and the go-to-market plan, then turning all of it into a dated execution roadmap for the following three to six months. Cultiv8 names legal tech, real estate tech, agri tech and industrial automation as the best fit, and says it picks founders on commitment, coachability and execution mindset rather than on the idea being finished.

Cultiv8 has also run named accelerator cohorts, all of which are now between intakes. The Overseas Accelerator 2024 took ten Indian startups based in Tamil Nadu and was facilitated by Jumpstart Studio of Australia with Payirgal, with a London & Partners session along the way and a demo day in September 2024. Two earlier cohorts, Cultiv8 Accelerator 1.0 and 2.0, are described in the past tense: 1.0 reports eleven startups accelerated, three of them expanding into global markets, and more than 250 hours of mentoring and go-to-market support. Two further ideas, an Intrapreneurship Accelerator and an Idea to Business programme, appear as single sentences with no page and no way to apply behind them, so treat them as descriptions rather than as open calls.

Who can apply

This is the part where Cultiv8 says least, and it is worth being clear about. Nothing on the incubator's site restricts applications to CIET students, staff or alumni, and nothing states an incorporation requirement, a sector gate or a minimum stage for the standing incubation programme. Its portfolio, its testimonials and its mentor bench are all outside companies and outside people. The only geography condition published anywhere applied to the 2024 Overseas Accelerator, which was for Indian startups based in Tamil Nadu. So in practice the incubation form is open, and the practical filter is the conversation that follows it rather than a written rule. If your eligibility is borderline, ask before you spend time on the form.

Funding support

Cultiv8 says it gives seed support to its startups through the NIDHI Seed Support System, backed by the Department of Science and Technology, and through the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme. Its portfolio page groups companies under both of those headings, and its news page names individual companies that received seed money from each. A SEED committee of about a dozen people, including angel investors, a fund manager and a StartupTN project lead, sits over those decisions, though the incubator does not publish how the process runs or how long it takes.

Beyond its own seed routes, Cultiv8 offers hands-on fundraising help: building the business plan and information memorandum, advising on the instrument to raise against, financial modelling and projections, valuation, exit planning for the investor, fund documents and agreements, introductions to investors and financial institutions, and negotiating the deal on the startup's behalf.

Facilities and startup benefits

Cultiv8 Coworks is in Peelamedu, near Codissia, and is sold to anyone, not only to incubatees: plug-and-play workstations, dedicated or hot desks, flexible timings, meeting rooms and high-speed internet, with a separate enquiry form. Prototyping lab and test bed facilities are listed among the benefits, and one portfolio founder credits access to CIET's own infrastructure and interns for their product development, so some of what founders use belongs to the host college.

Member startups also get a startup kit: Zoho for Startups credits through the Zoho Wallet, released in two stages, and a year of free access to MATLAB, Simulink and more than a hundred other products under the MathWorks Accelerator Partnership program.

Scale

Cultiv8's own homepage counters, which are self-reported and carry no date, claim 150 startups, 60 products released and 8 patents filed. Its funding page says more than 25 startups have had seed support from Cultiv8. Its published capital figures do not agree with each other between the homepage and the funding page, so we have not printed them.

Who runs it

Dr. B. Kaarthick is the CEO. The team page lists eleven people covering programme management, community, fund management, marketing and outreach, business development, compliance and accounts, plus advisers on growth and general business. A separate mentors page names sixteen mentors, among them founders of portfolio and partner companies, a virtual CFO, an electric vehicle specialist and senior finance people.

Locations

The incubator's registered base is the CIET campus at Vellimalaipattinam, Narasipuram, Coimbatore. Its coworking space, Cultiv8 Coworks, is at Gurusamy Nagar on Codissia Road in Peelamedu, inside the city. Cultiv8 has no careers page. Its news and events page is the best place to see what it is running now.
