Who can apply to SABI Cohort 14?
Indian agri-startups at the seed stage with a validated concept or MVP. The programme is open to working startups and entrepreneurs in the agriculture sector — not exclusively students.
How much funding is available?
Selected startups can receive up to ₹25 Lakhs in seed-stage grant funding. The grant is equity-free and provided under the PM-RKVY scheme of the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare.
Is equity taken in exchange for funding?
No. This is a non-dilutive government grant. IEF/CCSNIAM and the PM-RKVY programme do not take any equity stake in your startup.
What is PM-RKVY and who runs this programme?
PM-RKVY (Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana) is a central government scheme supporting agri-innovation and entrepreneurship. Cohort 14 is run by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Foundation (IEF) of CCSNIAM (Chaudhary Charan Singh National Institute of Agricultural Marketing).
What stage should my startup be at?
The SABI track targets the seed stage — startups should have a validated concept or minimum viable product (MVP). Ideation-only or pre-concept teams are generally not suitable; some demonstrable progress in agriculture innovation is expected.
