Track record
What Bihar Entrepreneurs Association reports about its portfolio.
These are BEA's own published figures, not audited totals, and most are undated. Its pages give different membership counts, and its funded-startup listings do not say who disbursed the money, so read both as the association's own account rather than as verified results.
All figures self-reported — beabihar.com, as of 2026.

How to apply to Bihar Entrepreneurs Association
Choose the right way in
- Incubation programme. The structured route for a startup that wants support beyond a single piece of advice. It accepts founders at idea stage through to growth.
- Free hand-holding. The lighter route if you are still shaping an idea and want guidance, run from the Enterprising Zone centre. It is aimed at young people, women and grassroots founders.
- Coworking office. If what you need is a desk or a cabin in Patna rather than a programme, apply for a seat. Seats are limited.
- StartUp and Entrepreneurs Program. A training course for aspiring entrepreneurs, run since 2021.
- Membership. If you want mentoring, event access and compliance help without entering incubation. The three tracks carry different annual fees.
- Business helpline. For a single question — registration, a licence, a scheme, a financing route — call the helpline rather than filling in a long form.
How applications work
Each route has its own form. The incubation application is the longest, and it is the one that asks for documents. The coworking form asks for your organisation, how many seats you need, when you want to start, how long you plan to stay and what you need the space for. Membership has its own registration form. Course enquiries are a short form with your name and mobile number. Nothing on the site gives a deadline or says when the next intake opens, so it is worth asking directly.
What the forms ask for
The incubation application asks for the startup's name, date of incorporation, stage, entity type and registered address, founder identification, the incorporation certificate and a pitch deck. DPIIT recognition and a GSTIN are optional. It also asks what funding you are looking for — a question about your needs, not an offer of BEA money.
What is not published
BEA does not publish what incubation costs, whether it takes equity, or how long you would wait for a decision. The coworking page says applications are reviewed and depend on seat availability, without listing fees. If cost or equity matters to you, ask before you commit.
What the process rewards
No selection process is published. The incubation form does ask for your product, your traction and a pitch deck, so those are the parts worth preparing well. Have the incorporation certificate ready before you start the form.
About Bihar Entrepreneurs Association
Bihar Entrepreneurs Association (BEA) is a not-for-profit body for entrepreneurs in Patna, set up in 2011 as a voluntarily-run organisation by young people. It is registered as a trust and as a Section 8 company, with tax exemption under sections 12AA and 80G and a licence to receive foreign donations. From its centres in Patna it offers incubation, a shared office, training and a telephone helpline for people who want to start or run a business in Bihar.
How its programmes work
BEA's main route in for a founder is its incubation programme. Applications are made on an online form that covers the startup, its founders, the business, the product, traction and what the applicant is looking for from incubation, with documents attached at the end. Applicants pick an expected stay of three, six, twelve or eighteen months. The form asks what funding a startup needs, but BEA does not describe a fund of its own.
Alongside this, BEA gives free hand-holding to potential entrepreneurs from ideation through execution and scale up. This support is aimed especially at young people, women and founders from grassroots and underprivileged backgrounds, and it runs from the Enterprising Zone centre.
BEA also runs a StartUp and Entrepreneurs Program, a training course it describes as its flagship, started in 2021. The course covers basic business knowledge, how a business functions, work ethics, and government policies and programmes. It is meant for aspiring entrepreneurs, and enquiries go through a form on the courses page.
The association runs an annual membership in three tracks: charter members, enterprise and startup members, and student and youth members. Members get a newsletter, discounts on services, free registration at partner events, business mentoring, and help with compliance and market research. The three tracks carry different annual fees.
A business helpline answers questions on anything to do with doing business in Bihar — company and NGO registration, licences, project financing, government and non-government schemes, and marketing linkages.
Two further lines of work run as outreach rather than as programmes a founder applies to. BEA's Bihar Startup Yatra began at district level in 2013, and its agricultural dialogue work with farmers is described on its own pages as a self-funded programme of district discussions.
Who can apply
The incubation application accepts startups at idea, prototype, MVP, revenue and growth stage. Entities can be anything from an individual or a proprietorship up to a private limited company. Founders from outside Bihar can apply: the form's state list covers Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Delhi and other states. DPIIT recognition is optional. The form asks for the incorporation certificate and a pitch deck; a DPIIT certificate and a GSTIN are requested only if the startup has them.
The coworking office is open to startups, individual entrepreneurs, companies, LLPs, partnerships and NGOs. Applications there are reviewed, and seats are limited.
Membership is open to entrepreneurs, startups, companies, students and youth.
Facilities
BEA's incubation and business facilitation centre at the Enterprising Zone site covers 7,000 square feet and is run, in its own words, on contributions and grants. The same site hosts the not-for-profit coworking office, where an applicant can take a cabin or between one and four or more seats.
Scale
BEA reports more than 200 recognised startups and over 3,000 entrepreneurs. It describes itself as a membership body of about 19,000 people, but its pages give different membership figures — one page counts more than 16,000 registered members and 250 charter and enterprise members together, and another refers to about 4,000 companies — so membership size is best read as an order of magnitude.
It also reports more than 250 workshops, more than 2,000 trainees at its Centre of Education, and more than 50 memoranda with institutions. For reach, one page counts more than 150,000 direct interactions with young people, women and farmers over ten years, through startup yatras and agricultural dialogue work; another counts almost 60,000 people over six years. The two cover different periods.
BEA lists a set of funded startups on its own pages, among them KivonSoft Technology, AgriUp Farmtech, Citiskape Sports, Green Supply Agro and Aquila Celestials. The listings give a funding year and a funding detail for each, but do not say who disbursed the money.
Who runs it
BEA says it drafted the startup policy for the Government of Bihar, and that it has received financial support from StartUp India, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Government of Bihar, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the International Labour Organization and the US Department of State. It names ICAR and NABARD as knowledge partners on a farmer-producer need-gap analysis. The organisation says it operates on membership support and contributions.
Locations
The registered office is at Udyami Bhawan, Garikhana, Khagaul, Patna. The operating office, the Enterprising Zone and the coworking space sit opposite the Bihar Museum on Bailey Road in central Patna.
