Bhumiutsav 2026 presents 'The National Case Competition', organised by EnviSAGE – The Environment Society of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College (SGNDKC), University of Delhi. This competition offers a unique platform to simulate real-world consulting, sustainability strategy, and business model innovation. Participants will step into the role of strategy consultants for EcoSphere Solutions, a climate-tech startup, tasked with navigating the critical balance between environmental impact and profitability.
Who Should Apply
This competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all disciplines. It's an ideal opportunity for those passionate about sustainability, business strategy, and entrepreneurship. Cross-college teams are encouraged, with a team size requirement of 1 to 4 members.
Tracks / Themes
The central theme for this year's case is 'Reimagining Earth: Profit with Purpose'. Participants will focus on developing innovative strategies for a climate-tech startup addressing urban environmental challenges, emphasizing sustainable revenue models and meaningful environmental impact.
Format & Timeline
The competition is structured in two rounds:
Round 1: Case Submission (Online)
Registered teams will analyze the provided case and submit a PowerPoint presentation (or PDF) outlining their recommendations. Submissions must adhere to a maximum of 7 slides (excluding appendix, introduction, and thank you slides) and be uploaded via Unstop.
Round 2: Final Presentation (Offline)
Shortlisted teams will advance to an offline round held at the SGNDKC College Campus in Delhi. Here, teams will present their solutions to a panel of experienced judges, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session. Each team will have 10 minutes for their presentation.
Prizes
A total cash prize pool of ₹9,000 is available for the top teams, along with certificates for all winners. The prizes are distributed as follows:
- Winner: ₹4,000 + Certificate
- Runner Up: ₹3,000 + Certificate
- 2nd Runner Up: ₹2,000 + Certificate
Eligibility
The competition is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students. Participants can form teams of 1 to 4 members, and cross-college teams are permitted. Availability for the offline final round in Delhi is mandatory for shortlisted teams.
