The ACE Design Sprint, also known as ACE Designathon, is an exciting competition organized by Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), Delhi. This event challenges participants to unleash their creative potential, think innovatively, and bring bold design ideas to life within a thrilling time-bound format. It's an ideal platform for aspiring designers to showcase their skills and gain recognition.
Who Should Apply
This designathon is open to students from all colleges, encouraging inter-college teams to collaborate and compete. Participants can join individually or in teams of up to two members. It's suitable for anyone passionate about design, regardless of their preferred tools.
Tracks / Themes
The competition features an "Open Idea" theme, allowing participants complete freedom to "Design Anything, Create Everything." This broad theme encourages diverse and imaginative solutions across various design domains.
Format & Timeline
The ACE Design Sprint is an offline event scheduled for October 30, 2025. Participants are required to bring their own laptops and preferred design tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator). Designs must be created within the given time limit. Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and presentation. Strict rules against plagiarism and the use of pre-made templates will be enforced, with any violations leading to disqualification.
Prizes
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top two teams. The 1st place winner will receive ₹5,000, and the 2nd place winner will receive ₹3,000. Certificates will also be provided to winners.
Eligibility
Open to students from all colleges. Participants can compete individually or in teams of 1–2 members. Registration is mandatory before the deadline.
How to Apply
Participants must register before the deadline of January 13, 2027. A registration fee of ₹150 per team or ₹100 for solo participants applies. Further details and registration can be found on the official competition page.
