Selection Process
Applications for the power cost reimbursement incentive are screened by the Andhra Pradesh Industries Department, or a designated committee under the Textile Policy 2024-29. The evaluation primarily focuses on verifying the enterprise's eligibility, including its classification (Micro, Small, Medium, etc.), the proprietor's category (women, BC, SC, ST, Minorities, Transgender, or specially abled), and the enterprise's status as a new, expanding, or diversifying unit in the textile sector. Documentation regarding power consumption and compliance with state regulations will also be thoroughly checked. While there might not be a "selection" in the competitive sense, the process involves a rigorous compliance check against the policy's specific criteria to determine entitlement to the subsidy. This ensures that the benefit reaches the intended beneficiaries who are actively contributing to the state's textile industry development.
