About this competition
Archestra MCP Apps Hackathon is an online hackathon organised by Archestra, an open-source AI platform that lets you build apps by describing them in natural language. The challenge: take a real workflow you deal with every week — sprint reports, invoice tracking, a PR review queue — and turn it into a working app you could use tomorrow, all without writing code.
Who Should Apply Open to anyone worldwide aged 18 and above — students, professionals, solo builders, and teams. No prior experience with Archestra is needed; the quickstart guide covers everything. Indian participants are welcome.
Format & Timeline The hackathon runs from July 22 to July 29, 2026. On July 22, registrants receive a full brief, quickstart guide, and example apps. Participants build their apps using Archestra's chat-based interface, connecting to real tools via MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers — GitHub, Jira, Slack, and 900+ more. Setup takes about 15 minutes: Docker, an LLM API key (free options work), and you're building. Submissions close on July 29. A public gallery goes live on July 29–30, and winners are announced on August 4.
What to Submit A video of your app in action (20 seconds or less), the prompt you used, the MCP servers it uses, and a one-sentence description. All submissions go into a public gallery.
Prizes
- Most Useful App — $1,000 (turn a real workflow into an app a team would keep using)
- Best Weird App — $750 (games, visualizations, wonderfully weird interfaces)
- Community Buzz — $500 + swag (post your app publicly, tag @archestra_ai, most-liked post wins) Total prize pool: $2,250 (approximately ₹2,07,000 at 92 INR/USD).
Eligibility Open worldwide, 18+. Solo participants or teams. Free to enter. No prior experience with Archestra required.
