What You Get
Three quarters of what you spend on getting certified comes back, up to Rs 10 lakh for the unit. The list is broad — BIS, ISO, FSSAI, AGMARK, HALLMARK, SILK MARK and ZED are all named — and the same 75% applies to the fee you pay a recognised lab, technical institute or university for technical know-how or a technology transfer, with CFTRI and CIPET called out as examples. Only the fee itself is covered, so budget separately for the audit, consultant and rework costs that usually accompany a certification.
