About this competition
Bizzathon is an 18-hour hackathon organised by IIT (ISM) Dhanbad as part of E-Summit 2026. Participants solve real-world problem statements provided by the judging panel at the start of the competition. Teams analyze the problem, develop an innovative and practical solution, and prepare a comprehensive presentation within the allotted time.
Who Should Apply Open to students enrolled in any recognised university in India. Teams of 1 to 3 members.
Format & Timeline The competition has three rounds:
- Round 1: Online Quiz (Screening Round) — An online aptitude and business quiz assessing analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and entrepreneurial knowledge. Top-performing teams qualify for the next round.
- Round 2: Business & Innovation Hackathon — Teams receive a real-world problem statement and have 18 hours to develop an innovative solution, create a business or implementation strategy, and prepare a final presentation.
- Round 3: Final Presentation — Teams present their solutions before a judging panel, followed by a Q&A session. Evaluation is based on innovation, feasibility, scalability, business viability, presentation skills, problem-solving approach, and overall impact.

- 1st Runner Up: ₹8,000
- 2nd Runner Up: ₹5,000
Eligibility Team size: 1–3 members. Open to students enrolled in any recognised university in India. Registration through Unstop before the deadline is mandatory. Valid college ID cards are required for verification.

What You Get
Top three teams receive cash prizes: ₹12,000 for the winner, ₹8,000 for the 1st runner-up, and ₹5,000 for the 2nd runner-up.
