Bootstrap Battle 2.0 is an international startup case competition organised by the Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management (AJNIFM). It brings together the brightest student innovators from across the globe to identify a real-world problem, build a scalable startup solution, and pitch their venture to an esteemed jury of entrepreneurs, investors, startup mentors, and industry experts. Whether you're an aspiring founder, strategist, or innovator, this is your opportunity to showcase your entrepreneurial thinking on an international stage.
Who Should Apply
The competition is open to undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, engineering, management, commerce, law, science, and other university students. Teams of 2 to 4 members are eligible, and cross-disciplinary teams are strongly encouraged. Participation is open to institutions across India and internationally, making it a truly global platform for student entrepreneurs.
Competition Structure
The competition unfolds in three rounds:
Round 1: Idea Submission (Screening Round) – Teams submit a 2-page concept note covering the problem statement, proposed solution, target market, business model, revenue strategy, competitive advantage, and scalability. Shortlisted teams advance to the next round.
Round 2: Elevator Pitch – Teams submit a 2–3 minute investor pitch video showcasing clarity of the idea, innovation, market understanding, business feasibility, and presentation & communication skills.
Round 3: Grand Finale – Finalist teams present their startup before an eminent jury comprising entrepreneurs, startup mentors, corporate leaders, and industry experts. Each presentation is followed by a live Q&A session with the jury.
Prizes
The prize pool is split into two categories:
Domestic Category: Winner ₹35,000, Runner-up ₹25,000, Second Runner-up ₹15,000.
International Category: Winner USD 365, Runner-up USD 265, Second Runner-up USD 165.
Additionally, all participants receive certificates, and winners receive special recognition awards.
Eligibility
Open to university students from any discipline. Teams must consist of 2–4 members. Only original submissions are accepted; plagiarism or use of previously submitted work leads to disqualification. Teams must adhere to the submission guidelines and deadlines for each round.
